    Hi t,
You may presume for yourself but we offer what scripture shows.
All who responded to the Word were baptised in water.

    Hi t,
Indeed John did baptise but not in the name of Jesus[Acts 19]
The apostles baptised in the name of Jesus.[Acts 19]
    They were faithful obedient servants.

Jesus also still baptises in the Spirit.

What does that change about God's teaching?

Naaman also initially scoffed at the simple requirements of our God but was not blessed till he obeyed.

    Hi t,
Jesus used wine to symbolise the body's life blood of the Spirit in the last supper.
The life is in the blood and for those in him the living Spirit is life eternal.
It is freely given without reservation to the obedient.

You must be born again of water and the Spirit.

    Hi nick
you have not shown any scriptures, the only thing is true the Jews were baptised ,and there is an explanation for it,sinse you know that gentiles have to be baptised in water any water(liquid water)and that will bring them live and the Holy spirit.and be then born again.all
this could take less than ten minutes.easy

    Hi T,
More than Jews were baptised in the book of Acts into the one body of Christ.
God does not have one gate for them and another for gentiles

    hi nick
Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
1Co 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
1Co 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
1Co 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
1Co 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
1Co 3:8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

this is what baptism ceremonial does because they miss reality of Christ the true saver

    Hi T,
    Newborns need milk.

But many assume they are more than newborn when they have not yet obeyed the simple command of God.
It is crazy to think they can bypass rebirth and the milk and help themselves to meat.
    They will only choke themselves

Hello, I’m currently looking through baptism. I myself was baptized with the passage written down in Matthew 28:19. However for me at this time it seems to be very conflicting with the baptism in the name of Jesus (Yeshua, etc…).

There is one Hebrew Matthew manuscript, Shem Tob’s, who was opposed to Christians and might (probably has) have changed certain details in his manuscript, which doesn’t include this way of baptism. So I don’t know how reliable it is, especially since ALL the Greek manuscripts have the formula. But Shem Tob’s manuscript doesn’t have the formula in 28:19, but something like: “Go and make disciples in my name” or similar. Eusebius did quote Matthew 28:19 but never with the baptism in the name of the Father, Son, Spirit, prior to Nicea (325), even though Eusebius didn’t always quote a passage exactly the same way… however it is to me very weird that he didn’t quote Matthew 28:19 correctly for about 20 times or so.

Why if the baptism in Matthew 28:19 is the correct one, is it only named in that exact way only once in the bible? There is only one witness to it, itself. So how do you look towards this? Do you interpret this passage differently?

I’ve copied this from some other site which has all (i think) bible references in the NT towards baptism:
I see now that they didn’t include Matthew 28:19

    John 1:24-26
Now some Pharisees who had been sent questioned him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” “I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands one you do not know.

    John 1:33
I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

    1 Corinthians 1:13-17
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge
