Nick……..Who determines that you? Could it be possible you are resisting and quenching the Spirit?. You seam to think God is not capable of converting the Human mind and giving Him repentance unless the person chooses it, that is not what scripture says, but its what you are saying. Just food for thought.
July 28, 2008 at 3:37 pm#99222IreneParticipantNick I want to make you aware of something, you have twice that I saw. In Acts it says Lord Jesus Christ, you say LORD Jesus Christ. You need to be careful that when you say LORD it is the Almighty LORD God and when it is Lord it is Jesus Christ. There is a difference.

Hi Gb,
Putting to one side your usual negativity towards others I am pleased you finally agree with scripture that stiffnecked men even among the saved can quench and grieve the Spirit of God.God's will is done
but not necessarily through you or me.July 29, 2008 at 2:41 am#99257GeneBalthropParticipantNick……….Now that something i agree with, God's will Will be done in every person. If He chooses to save a person and change his thinking He is very capable of doing it with or without your or my permission. ” for He works all things by the council of (HIS) WILL, and if that WILL is to save all His creation, I think He is quite capable of doing it, Again with or without (OUR) permission.
July 29, 2008 at 2:52 am#99259NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Believe it or not you still have choice.
You can kick the goad or align with God's purpose.
God does not need anyone and it is only at the end that the sons of God will be revealedJuly 29, 2008 at 6:08 am#99270GeneBalthropParticipantNick………I think your the one kicking the goad and not aligning with God purpose, I agree with God purpose of Saving all His children (YET AS BY FIRE) intense judgement. You can think your choices saves your all you want, that your privilege, but I will Just be thankful God chose to save my by taking out of me the heart of stone and giving me a heart of flesh, and writing His laws on my Heart and Mind. I am totally comfortable with that and i thank Him everyday for His love and mercy and even for His correction when i need it. I will not be lead around with fear mongering ideologies, I started with Faith and I will finish with it also. Paul said ” tell me this have you started with Faith and now are you being perfected by the works of the flesh, and He went on to say you foolish Galatians who has bewitched you. I think you need to conceder these words, in your evaluation.
July 29, 2008 at 6:11 am#99272NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Who are God's children?July 29, 2008 at 2:56 pm#99288GeneBalthropParticipantNick………God Said (ALL) Souls are mine. Jesus taught us to pray (OUR) Father who art in heaven. And if you (Being Evil ) know How to give Good gifts to your Children How much more will God give to them who ask. And again “all the world is mine and the fullness there of”. And again “NO man (CAN) come unto me unless the Father draw (Greek Drag) Him.” Tell me something Nick, why do you seem to hate the Idea that it is GOD Himself ALONE who save us. Why does that vex you so much. Is it because your doctrine of self salvation is frustrated by understanding that salvation is a work of GOD, Not MAN? All the scriptures that me and many others quoted you, you simply ignore, is that being fair to the rest of Us who present scriptures that support what we are saying?.
July 29, 2008 at 5:18 pm#99299NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Using scripture to justify doctrine has never been the way of God.
Let scripture speak and let every man be silent.
Sonship to God is not of nature.July 29, 2008 at 8:42 pm#99306NickHassanParticipantHi,
God speaks through scripture
Zechariah 2:13
Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.July 30, 2008 at 3:19 am#99315GeneBalthropParticipantNick……why are you then using scripture to support your doctrines then. Or is your doctrines and dogmas of God and everyone else is wrong, You say don't use scripture to support doctrine and yet thats exactly what you do. You say worldly knowledge is wrong and you are the first to go to contradictions and wikipida to back up your positions. To me that seems some what hypocritical on your part. You don't want us not to do it but you seem quite at ease to do it to back up your dogmas.
July 30, 2008 at 3:41 am#99320NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
We are here top help the genuine seekers in their search for truth in scripture.
Unfortunately most of our time is spent dealing with offers of manmade speculative doctrines.
Distractions they are but at least we can promote proper study by revealing their gross weaknesses.July 30, 2008 at 4:21 am#99326GeneBalthropParticipantNick…..where have you promoted proper study by revealing their gross weaknesses, i have yet to see that here. In fact you insert yourself where often you should not, it only shows your dogmas and beliefs and is not a standard for truth at all. You need to learn to hear the sound of the Spirit and you might learn something new. Or do you think (all understanding ) is already give to us and letting the spirit teach us new things is not important in a Christians life. I Have never stop learning new things in my walk with God. Had i stopped with just the basic teachings i would have stagnated long ago. If you had listened to Paul you would see not to despise the gifts others have given them by the spirit of God. Each has His or Her own Gift from God that you may well not have. I believe you should be more of a listener then a interrupter. If you have doubts you can always ask questions to clarify things right.
July 30, 2008 at 4:44 am#99327NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
What do you mean?July 30, 2008 at 5:01 am#99335GeneBalthropParticipantNick….what i posted is clear Just think about it and read what Paul said reguarding the gifts given to us by the Spirit of God.
July 30, 2008 at 6:28 am#99343NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
You do teach new things, very novel.
Many of them are not echoed in scripture so why go out on a limb?
Fellowship with the Father and the Son is dependant on abiding in the scriptures.{2Jn]July 30, 2008 at 9:13 am#99344charityParticipantHopscotch to popper bear

Nick…..also read 1Cor 12:4-11, You will find God gives different Gifts to men and not all have the same gift, therefore we need to listen to ALL. And if you have the spirit of truth in you you will know the sound of the Spirit, but know man has it ALL, for we see as through a obscure glass, so there is always room for growth in understanding. WE are told to grow in GRACE and KNOWLEDGE>
July 30, 2008 at 7:31 pm#99361NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Of corse we were warned to test the spirits.
We were also told the Holy Spirit does not speak of His own initiative.
So where do these new ideas you teach come from? Do you accept scriptural authority? Are they gnostic? - AuthorPosts
