Quote (Gene Balthrop @ Dec. 27 2008,15:36) 942767…..i would be more inclined to believe what Jesus said myself. 94, let think about this a minute, Jude said these suffered the vengeance of eternal fire. First of all there is not word for eternal in the Greek language (it should be aion or age) and indeed those Cities did , they the (CITY'S) ,were completely destroyed those cities will not exist any more they are completely destroyed, but where does it say the People were. If they were why is there a resurrection for them then and they recieve more tolerance then other would. love and peace to you and yours…………..gene
Hi Gene:I have given an explanation to what Jesus meant when he referred to the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah, here:
December 27, 2008 at 4:53 am#115867TiffanyParticipant942767
Jesus died for Sodom and Gomorrah too, all mankind; they never heard the name Jesus, how can the believe in him?
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Only those with a clear understanding of the Word of God are judged now, and there are not too many. Why do you think we have so many denomination, not to mention the many religion; and can any one agree on anything? That will not be so in God kingdom, the millennium.

You are talking about the millennium complete different subject matters. You have to try to stay focused on exactly what being said Nick.

December 27, 2008 at 5:26 pm#115880NickHassanParticipantHi Georg,
You say
“Only those with a clear understanding of the Word of God are judged now, and there are not too many. Why do you think we have so many denomination, not to mention the many religion; and can any one agree on anything? That will not be so in God kingdom, the millennium. “Understanding anything about the Word of God does not bring anyone into a relationship with God but helps us know about Him. The household of God is not entered by knowledge of God or scripture.
Such knowledge simply provides less of an excuse for not responding to the invitation to enter the kingdom of God spoken of theirin. Men exalt knowledge but faith and wisdom are rather to be prized.
Entering a denomination does not join anyone to the body of Christ. There are many such denominations largely because the whore has many daughters.
The lack of unity is because few have yet come to Jesus and pleaded with God for His Spirit to be given to them. Speculations rule over faith such that Jesus doubts he will find faith when he returns.
No denominations can bring men into the millenial kingdom as only those following the shepherd will find such wonderful pasture.
Satan has triumphed to some degree by strong delusions dividing and giving false hope to millions.
December 27, 2008 at 6:42 pm#115891GeneBalthropParticipantNick……wisdom requires Knowledge and so does Faith. Faith is the EVIDENCE of things not seen (Evidence is true knowledge) we are to grow in both FAITH and KNOWLEDGE, it says. you ridicules (assumptions) are wrong Nick.

Wisdom is justified by her children.
She is not formed by our limited knowledge.December 27, 2008 at 9:14 pm#115909GeneBalthropParticipantNick….so you are saying wisdom lacks knowledge then. Pure ignorance.

Wisdom fulfills what is otherwise just knowledge.December 27, 2008 at 11:18 pm#115920TiffanyParticipantWisdom is acquired by studying, but originates from God.
Knowledge of the Word of God comes from studying the Word of God, but without the wisdom of God which gives us understanding, all we would have is knowledge.Jam 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

December 27, 2008 at 11:28 pm#115922GeneBalthropParticipantGeorg………i agree, If we sincerely desire truth and wisdom and understanding and ask God will give it to us.

They were never under law.December 28, 2008 at 4:34 am#115949TiffanyParticipantNick
This is for all people, no matter when they died.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
But to do that you first have to know about Jesus, and during the millennium he will let everyone know who he is; without any interfering from Satan.
All who lived before Moses were not under the law; but that really matters not because the law was given to the Israelites, and no one else. However, law or no law, all have sinned.
Adam was under no law, he sinned and died, and so did all from that point on. That is why we all need a savior, to be released from the grave. The law was given to a people who knew God, through Moses, and it was to prove to us and all mankind, that first; no one can keep the law, and second; the law can not take away our sins; the blood of Christ can.Georg

What you say is not written so surely is unwise speculation.
God is sovereign.December 28, 2008 at 7:43 am#115958NickHassanParticipantHi Georg,
Roimans is written to the saved.
It is not telling the saved how to be saved as they are. - AuthorPosts
