thinker……….brother why did Jesus say in prayer “FOR THOU ART THE (ONLY) TRUE GOD”. the word THOU means someone else , not the person talking, and the word ONLY means no other (true) GOD.  This is plain, while there are many gods there is (ONLY ONE TRUE GOD)> and it wasn't the person making that prayer. (Jesus). IMO

    Gene,
Why is it that I have to answer your questions but you will not answer mine? Jesus said also in the next breath that He would return to the glory He had with the Father before the world began. Can't you understand that Jesus was for a little while made less than God for our salvation?

    Hi tt,
Jesus has never been fully equal to the Father.
He was GIVEN functional equality just as Joseph was for Pharoah.
If he had to be given power and authority by scriptural principles he was the lesser.

    Heb7
7And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

    Nick,
You say “functional equality.” This is just more non-trinitarian double speak. Equality is equality dude! Keep it simple!

thinker……….So who made Him lower then the angles, was it Him or was it the one He said was the (ONLY TRUE GOD ) that did it. And are we to presume that Jesus was lying when He said that, or maybe did not really mean it brother.

    Gene,
Again I ask you to answer a question of mine. Jesus anticipated that He would return to the glory He had with the Father before the world began. Explain this, Please, pretty please with chocolate syrup! I am begging dude!

Our discourse must be two ways. If you ask me a hard question I will answer and have answered. So when I ask a hard question of you please reciprocate. Jesus anticipated that He would return to the glory He had with the Father before the world began.

Was Jesus delusional?  Did He “shoot up” before saying this? Was He a lunatic?

    Hi tt,
Here the government is shown in action.
    Ps2

    Psalm 2
1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
