I don't read it that way.  Hebrews 9:15 says, “For this reason, Christ is the MEDIATOR of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance…”

In 9:16, Paul is saying you can't recieve an inheritance unless you can prove the death of the one that made the will (will and covenant are the same Greek word).

Besides, are you thinking Paul thought Jesus was God?  The guy who said, “for us there is one God, the Father…”?

Hogwash! Irene said that you use the Ryrie Study Bible. It is from this “Bible” that you get this stuff. Irene shot you in the foot again. Jesus is the Testator because it is the testator who dies. Therefore, Jesus is God because God alone is the Testator.

Israel has been divorced. God will not re-marry Israel. He married the Church. The covenant was made with the regenerated Israel which is the Church (Matthew 25).

Jesus is both the Mediator and the Testator. Hebrews 9:16 CLEARLY says that it is the Testator who dies. Therefore, Jesus is the Testator and therefore God. Jesus said, “This is the new covenant in MY BLOOD.”

Again, He is both the Mediator and the Testator. He is both the sacrifice and the High priest who offers the sacrifice. He is both the Lion and the Lamb.

Major premise: God made the new covenant with His people
Minor premise: Jesus made the new covenant in His own blood
Conclusion: Therefore, Jesus is God

Have you ever read were Jesus forced any one to believe him? On the contrary, he held their minds closed because had they understood, they would not have crucified him.

Do I have the truth in saying that Jesus is the Testator? Hebrews 9:16-17 says that the testator MUST DIE. So the Testator cannot be the Father. Right?

Therefore, the God who made the covenant (the Testator) was Jesus Himself. “THIS is the new covenant in MY BLOOD”

I am perplexed by your statement that the Ryrie Study Bible is the most accurate Bible you know.     Charles Ryrie was a trinitarian and his notes are trinitarian. Every time Irene disclose these things it is made known that you hold to the doctrines of men. Yet you and Irene accuse everyone else of holding to the doctrines of men.

Again, no one cares about your numbers. And Deuteronomy 6:4 uses “echad” (one). This is the word that often indicates a plural unity. Why didn't Moses use “yachid” indicating that God is a solitary one?

Is Jesus the Testator who made the covenant or not? If you say yes you lose only the argument. If you say no you lose your soul. Which is more important to you: saving face or saving your soul?

Paul is saying Jesus left us an inheritance of everlasting life “in his will” so to speak.  In order for anyone to collect an inheritance, the one who left it has to die.  Jesus is the testator in that sence (see definition above).

As far as GOD'S new covenant with us, read ALL of Hebrews 9.

Verse 7: only the high priests (God's mediators at the time) entered the Most Holy, and never without blood

Verse 9: the gifts and sacrifices were not enough to clear the conscience of the worshipper

Verse 11: When Christ came as high priest, he entered a more perfect tabernacle that was not man-made

Verse 12:  Christ didn't enter by means of the blood of goats and lambs (that wasn't enough according to verse 9), but by his own blood

Verse 13: the blood of animals made the Israelites outwardly clean only

Verse 14:  the blood of Christ cleans our consciences from acts that lead to death, so we may serve the living God

Verse 15: Christ is the MEDIATOR of a new covenant

Can you understand that God is the testator of the new covenant and Jesus is the testator of his will by which he left us an inheritance?  I already told you will and covenant are the same Greek word.
