On the other hand, what Satan said in verse 5 was the truth, for their eyes WERE opened, and they DID become like God, knowing good from evil:
Genesis 3:22
And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.”Wakeup, I'm with Ed on this one. Satan uses truth to deceive. Just read the passage on the temptation of Jesus. What part of the things Satan said to Jesus were lies?
Remember that Satan masquerades as an angel of light in order to deceive even the elect, if possible.

is going to raise us up on “THE Last Day”,
“THE Last Day” means no “1,000 years” afterwards.This is strong evidence that Jesus second coming
and our physical resurrection are separate events (IN TIME). …what say you?God bless

Hi Ed I do not know. What do you say?As you can see above T, in 2nd peter, the Day of the Lord and the return of Jesus is the same thing, Peter is talking about the same thing.
Rev 16:15 “Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”
Thessalonians 5:2 'For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.'

may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:39-40)And likewise “The first day” was “THE first day”.

And the evening and the morning were the first day.” (Gen 1:5)Notice how the religious try to make the bible say what it doesn't say?

It's hard to tell what they thought, Pierre. They may have been shaking all that day, expecting death to come at any minute.The point is that God does not lie. And if God said they'd die “in that very day”, then God must have been talking about a 1000 year day – or He would have been the One who lied.
