Genesis 3:5 is a true statement.

The deception behind it is that the knowledge of good and evil at that point of human development is a righteous thing.

“We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,

but then Satan comes back with ;Ge 3:4 “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman.

and that was a flat lie ,(but if it is taken in an direct way he his right they did not die that day meaning the next 24 hours ,)

    then Satan add ;
Ge 3:5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

this was the obvious result of breaking that command

now what ??? sentence as to be made and fulfilled ,

    Pierre,

That is an excellent scriptural example!  :)

In Gen 3:4, Satan lied, because they did surely die.  And if you consider that a day to God is like a thousand years to us, then they actually died “on that very day”, because no human has ever lived more than 1000 years.

On the other hand, what Satan said in verse 5 was the truth, for their eyes WERE opened, and they DID become like God, knowing good from evil:

    Genesis 3:22
And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.”

Wakeup, I'm with Ed on this one.  Satan uses truth to deceive.  Just read the passage on the temptation of Jesus.  What part of the things Satan said to Jesus were lies?

Remember that Satan masquerades as an angel of light in order to deceive even the elect, if possible.

I guess you could say that Satan's doctrine is false.
It consists of truth as bait and lies as the hook.

But overall, his doctrine is false and his behaviour is evil.

yes but also in the mind of Eve do you think that they understood it that the day would be 1000 years??? or did they have the believe of being one 24 hours day ???

So who sacrificed their FLESH?  God's Son, the Holy Spirit?

Mike, only one had flesh and that was the Man Jesus  – the begotten Son of God – the anointed – the Christ.

Holy Spirit is Spirit, just as God is also Spirit. Spirit gives birth to Spirit.

'How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?' (Hebrews 9:14)

According to Heb 9:14, who exactly offered himself without blemish to God?  Christ?  Or the eternal spirit?

Um, I would say Jesus offered Himself without blemish to God?

Mike……..Here is the Scripture i was referring to.

Act 20: 28…..> Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the HOLY GHOST has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he (?) has purchased with his own blood.

Was this referencing God or Jesus or both? It seems to imply GOD Right?
I know most scriptures say Jesus' blood , but my question would be whose blood was it seeing Jesus gave himself to God Completely . So would his blood be considered God's Blood by way of the obedience of Jesus to God the Father?

Also taking into consideration that in Scripture Jesus is reckoned as the Lamb of GOD. Who God offered up, for the sins of the world. Does God who being Sovereign over all Creation take responsibility for all sin of all creation and offer up His own Lamb for forgiveness of all? It does appear that way to me.

Remember what Jesus did he did in OBEDIENCE to God the FATHER fulfilling GOD desire to forgive all sin. So while Jesus was God's Lamb it was God the Father who offered him up it appears.

peace and love to you and your……………………………….gene

Gene, I would say it is referencing Jesus.
It seems that Jesus faced a battle within himself in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was sweating blood. Apparently, extreme anxiety can do this.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

    What was the temptation?
    Matt 26,
41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42 Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”

You notice how cunning the serpent is.

God said;of every tree YOU CAN EAT,but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil YOU CAN NOT EAT of it.

The serpent said; did God say you shall not eat of EVERY TREE in the garden. He twisted Gods words.

EVE SAID NO,only of that one tree.

The end result of that lie is death.
