Hi GB,
Mk10
17 As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments, ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” 20 And he said to Him, “Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up.” 21 Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But at these words [g]he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.23 And Jesus, looking around, *said to His disciples, “How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus *answered again and *said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 They were even more astonished and said to Him, “[h]Then who can be saved?” 27 Looking at them, Jesus *said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
Jesus first offered the law. OT
Then he offered the young man to follow him.NTApril 3, 2014 at 4:49 am#376081journey42ParticipantHi Marty,
I'm going to look at this now, quoted by James Faucett Brown.
Quote Hi J42: This is the way James Faucett Brown commentary explains the “Fulness of the gentiles”.
Quote Israel–that is, hath come partially, or upon a portion of Israel.
until the fulness of the Gentiles be–“have”
come in–that is, not the general conversion of the world to Christ, as many take it; for this would seem to contradict the latter part of this chapter, and throw the national recovery of Israel too far into the future: besides, in Rom 11:15, the apostle seems to speak of the receiving of Israel, not as following, but as contributing largely to bring about the general conversion of the world–but, “until the Gentiles have had their full time of the visible Church all to themselves while the Jews are out, which the Jews had till the Gentiles were brought in.” (See Luk 21:24 ).Marty,
The apostles were chosen to spread the message of Christ out to the world. It continues to this day, people are still coming to Christ. Therefore the “fullness of the gentiles” has not reached. Christ is returning and he will collect all that belongs to him. ……The millennium is a different story, more will come in, and that is the “First dominion” A time where Christ will be ruling as king. His dominion/rule. To many this seems far off into the future, but for us that know, it will be soon, within 10 years. I would say 8 to be exact. (sounds like speculation until I explain why. Another topic)
I don't really know what this guy is trying to say. Have you got a link?Nothing about Romans chapter 11 is confusing in my eyes.
I can explain every verse if you want me to, but it would be a long post.
So to cut short, it's simple.
Paul raises the question, Has God cast away his people?
He says this because they killed the prophets, and ordered the death of their Messiah and his apostles, and others.
but he answers, God forbid.Romans 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
So his answer is, don't worry, Israel will not be wiped out completely, because God has reserved some of them from the days of Kings, and also to that day they were speaking.
The reserved does not include the apostles, because they will be ruling in the kingdom with Christ. It refers to the “OTHERS” of Israel.Israel (the nation) will be saved because God is going to give mercy to some others he has reserved of Israel only. This will be from every generation, except Moses generation, as God said “They will not enter my Rest”. His rest, is the 1000 year period.
That generation who saw all of God's miracles, and were freed from Egypt, moaned and groaned, and who made their own gods to serve will not get to live in the “promised land” flowing with milk and honey. So not all Israel will be there, but the reserved (chosen) only.
And these would be those who have not served or bowed down to any other god.So the nation Israel, will be restored. At the moment they are a laughing stock to the nations. At the moment they are surrounded by their enemies and the world hates them.
At the moment they have caused God shame, because he chose them as his people and they are guilty of much blood.
They are also guilty of false religion, as they set out hard, to discredit Christ's name. They cover up truth, and wipe their hands and say we have done no wrong. Well God is going to punish them, as their sins have escalated up to heaven. They have not gotten better but worse. This would be Jacob's trouble. That big war that is coming to Israel, like has never happened before ever in history.
After that, this is when they will come with tears. They will be totally broken, and hard not to accept Christ, when they see him coming in all his power and glory.And for God's sake, his Nation, that he first called, will be restored, all for the glory of God, and God has Chosen Christ to restore it.
Israel will be a model nation during the millennium. A land of peace and security. A land where there nothing kills, or gets killed. A land where all the riches of the world are gathered up and stored. A land full of orchards, and food, a land like never seen before, and all the nations will be zealous to come and see what they have never seen, or heard of. (most christians haven't either)
And most importantly, a land where there is truth, and all who dwell there, will be full of it because they will be taught straight from Christ, and no more arguments about the truth, and bickering back and forth.
April 3, 2014 at 9:55 am#376098942767ParticipantHi J42:
You respond to the fact that “blindness in part happened to Israel” by saying
Quote Hi Marty
Of course some of them accepted, I am not blind to that and agree.And so, if you agree that some of the Jews accepted Jesus as their Messiah, then you cannot make a blanket statement that “the Jews Killed Jesus”. This is what the Catholic Church has done during their dark ages, and they have caused all Jewish people to suffer the persecution and perhaps also what was done to them in the Holocaust because of what some of the Pharisees did. Some of the Jewish people then did deliver Jesus up to be crucified that is scriptural. Those that delivered him up to be killed are indeed guilty of his blood.
And in this present day, not all will believe the truth, both jew and gentile, and God has seen this from the beginning, but the gospel is being preached to every one who wants to hear. And I am teaching the fact that Jesus never claimed to be God now. This does not have to wait to be taught to the Jewish people in remote so called millennium.
There is only one Israel of God, and that is “the body of Christ”.
Quote Romans 9
King James Version (KJV)
9 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

No gentile or Jew can come in until the 7 trumpets are completed, and Christ returns. THEN mercy will be given to them, Quote J42, you are speculating and adding to the scriptures. This is not the way that I am understanding this. Where does it state anything about the 7 trumpets. Marty
No speculation here, my gun is fully loaded!
Just before the first trumpet is blown, we have this;
Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Then the 7 angels come out of the temple with the 7 plagues.
Revelation 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
Temple closed.
Now see where you can fit this one in?
Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
There will be a repeat of history.
The ark is here now preparing. (Spiritual Ark, Christ)
Last call.
The flood is coming soon. (7 angels with the trumpets will start blowing, one after another.)
but just before the flood hits
the doors of the ark will be closed, (sealing of the 144,000 and fullness of the gentiles have come in. They have their places in heaven reserved.)
But No other man can enter heaven.
Too late now.
No access to salvation
Until the 7th trump and Christ returns with his kingdom.
And if you are lucky enough to be a survivor, you may get to visit the kingdom and learn during the millennium.
If you are a Jew, you might be one of the reserved, elected to live in the kingdom,
If you are a wicked Jew survivor, you get to see your brothers in the kingdom, and you cast out.
They will have all the luxeries now, and you will live amongst the debri.
This is where there will be gnashing of the teeth.
Hi J42:The 7 trumpets are judgments upon the earth mingled with mercy during this period of time there will be some people that will be saved.
The seven last plagues are the wrath of God being poured out on those who have received the mark of the beast, and are alive at the coming of the Lord for the church. It is during this time that no one can enter of God until this wrath is poured out on the inhabitants of the earth.
Quote Revelation 15
King James Version (KJV)
15 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
I am not sure that I answered every thing that I wanted to of this, but I am at work and I have to go for now, and I currently do not have the internet at home. I'll get back to you on this as soon as I can.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Acts 7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Heres another one.
Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
His followers did not kill him, but the Jews did. Israel. They are guilty of his blood.
Quote Some of the Jewish people then did deliver Jesus up to be crucified that is scriptural. Those that delivered him up to be killed are indeed guilty of his blood.

But it's different to what we are speaking off.
And we are speaking of the nation of Israel. Physical Jews, and not spiritual ones.

But true Faith does not transgress the commandments, of God, but if we do we have an advocate with the Father , Our Brother Jesus the Christ. For we are under Grace , but as Pauls said , What then shall we sin that grace may abound, “GOD FORBID”.peace and love to you and yours………………………..gene

April 5, 2014 at 6:03 pm#376364NickHassanParticipantHi WU,
Here is the song of Moses from Deut 32
“Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak;
And let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
2 “Let my teaching drop as the rain,
My speech distill as the dew,
As the droplets on the fresh grass
And as the showers on the herb.
3 “For I proclaim the name of the Lord;
Ascribe greatness to our God!
4 “The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are [a]just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and upright is He.
5 “They have acted corruptly toward Him,
They are not His children, because of their defect;
But are a perverse and crooked generation.
6 “Do you thus repay the Lord,
O foolish and unwise people?
Is not He your Father who has bought you?
He has made you and established you.
7 “Remember the days of old,
Consider the years of all generations.
Ask your father, and he will inform you,
Your elders, and they will tell you.
8 “When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance,
When He separated the sons of [c]man,
He set the boundaries of the peoples
According to the number of the sons of Israel.
9 “For the Lord’s portion is His people;
Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.
10 “He found him in a desert land,
And in the howling waste of a wilderness;
He encircled him, He cared for him,
He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
11 “Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
That hovers over its young,
He spread His wings and caught them,
He carried them on His pinions.
12 “The Lord alone guided him,
And there was no foreign god with him.
13 “He made him ride on the high places of the earth,
And he ate the produce of the field;
And He made him suck honey from the rock,
And oil from the flinty rock,
14 Curds of cows, and milk of the flock,
With fat of lambs,
And rams, the breed of Bashan, and goats,
With the finest of the wheat—
And of the blood of grapes you drank wine.15 “But [d]Jeshurun grew fat and kicked—
You are grown fat, thick, and sleek—
Then he forsook God who made him,
And scorned the Rock of his salvation.
16 “They made Him jealous with strange gods;
With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
17 “They sacrificed to demons who were not God,
To gods whom they have not known,
New gods who came lately,
Whom your fathers did not dread.
18 “You neglected the Rock who begot you,
And forgot the God who gave you birth.19 “The Lord saw this, and spurned them
Because of the provocation of His sons and daughters.
20 “Then He said, ‘I will hide My face from them,
I will see what their end shall be;
For they are a perverse generation,
Sons in whom is no faithfulness.
21 ‘They have made Me jealous with what is not God;
They have provoked Me to anger with their [e]idols.
So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people;
I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation,
22 For a fire is kindled in My anger,
And burns to the lowest part of [f]Sheol,
And consumes the earth with its yield,
And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.23 ‘I will heap misfortunes on them;
I will use My arrows on them.
24 ‘They will be wasted by famine, and consumed by [g]plague
And bitter destruction;
And the teeth of beasts I will send upon them,
With the venom of crawling things of the dust.
25 ‘Outside the sword will bereave,
And inside terror—
Both young man and virgin,
The nursling with the man of gray hair.
26 ‘I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces,
I will remove the memory of them from men,”
27 Had I not feared the provocation by the enemy,
That their adversaries would misjudge,
That they would say, “Our hand is [h]triumphant,
And the Lord has not done all this.”’28 “For they are a nation lacking in counsel,
And there is no understanding in them.
29 “Would that they were wise, that they understood this,
That they would discern their [j]future!
30 “How could one chase a thousand,
And two put ten thousand to flight,
Unless their Rock had sold them,
And the Lord had given them up?
31 “Indeed their rock is not like our Rock,
Even our enemies [k]themselves judge this.
32 “For their vine is from the vine of Sodom,
And from the fields of Gomorrah;
Their grapes are grapes of poison,
Their clusters, bitter.
33 “Their wine is the venom of [l]serpents,
And the [m]deadly poison of cobras.34 ‘Is it not laid up in store with Me,
Sealed up in My treasuries?
35 ‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution,
In due time their foot will slip;
For the day of their calamity is near,
And the impending things are hastening upon them.’
36 “For the Lord will vindicate His people,
And will have compassion on His servants,
When He sees that their [n]strength is gone,
And there is none remaining, bond or free.
37 “And He will say, ‘Where are their gods,
The rock in which they sought refuge?
38 ‘Who ate the fat of their sacrifices,
And drank the wine of their drink offering?
Let them rise up and help you,
Let them be your hiding place!
39 ‘See now that I, I am He,
And there is no god besides Me;
It is I who put to death and give life.
I have wounded and it is I who heal,
And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.
40 ‘Indeed, I lift up My hand to heaven,
And say, as I live forever,
41 If I sharpen My [o]flashing sword,
And My hand takes hold on justice,
I will render vengeance on My adversaries,
And I will repay those who hate Me.
42 ‘I will make My arrows drunk with blood,
And My sword will devour flesh,
With the blood of the slain and the captives,
From the long-haired [p]leaders of the enemy.’
43 “Rejoice, O nations, with His people;
For He will avenge the blood of His servants,
And will render vengeance on His adversaries,
And will atone for His land and His people.”A song of faith from the Spirit.
