5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.Darkness is not of the God of lights.

I agree, “All is of God” Ro.11:36. I've never said it isn't Gods gospel if you read my posts properly. It's just that He (God) sent His Son to preach the to the “lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matt.15:24), and commissioned Paul to the “nations' (Ro.15:16). They are not the same. There is no scriptural reference to any “eternal gospel for all”, this is false teaching.Blessings.

Hi t8.
Notice that this is refering to just before the “consummation” (verse 13), after the second coming of Christ Jesus, when the kingdom is realized, and they (Jews) with Christ their king will rule for the millenium. And then it says in verse 14 …and then the consummation shall be arriving.Blessings.
July 26, 2008 at 6:08 am#99096NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
So this is the same gospel Jesus preached?

Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.Luke 16:16
” The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.July 26, 2008 at 6:12 am#99098chosenoneParticipantYes, to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.

This is the same kingdom being preached that Paul spoke of?
Galatians 5:21
envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.Ephesians 5:5

What the scripture you quote means, is, this is our sinful nature, the flesh, which cannot please God. But though “His achievement” (Eph.2:10) we are being pefected.“All is of God” (1Cor.11:12) If you cannot accept this in all your beliefs, then you have too much pride.

13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. The word end is mentioned in both verses. Is it the same end being spoken of? Or are you saying that they are to different ends, the first the end of this age and the second the end of the millennium.
July 26, 2008 at 6:35 am#99104NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Should you accuse me or others of pride because we do not accept a new gospel?
We dare not as our inheritance in the kingdom is at stake.July 26, 2008 at 6:45 am#99107ProclaimerParticipantMatthew 4:17
From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”Matthew 9:35
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.Acts 28:30-31
30 For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him.
31 Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ. So Jesus and Paul both preached the gospel of the Kingdom.
Granted that Jesus preached to the Jews. But he did say the following in Acts 1:8:
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”There was a definite order, but the same gospel called the gospel of the Kingdom. Looks very similar to dropping a stone in a pond and the wave radiating outward
NOTE: This post was made in the remotest part of the earth.'
July 26, 2008 at 6:51 am#99108chosenoneParticipantHi t8.
This is how I see it. As you know, I believe that Jesus' teaching is to the Jews (Matt.15:24). But in these verses, it is after His resurrection, when still not accepted as their “Messiah”, that He is speaking about before the “Consummation”, the end of creation. At this point I believe you are partly correct in saying the first 'end' is the end of the eon, while I believe the second 'end', is the end of creation, the “consummation”.
Now having said that, I am not infallible, prone to error as any human is, but this is my belief.Blessings.

2 Timothy 2:15There is a good rule to follow for finding out what a text or a section or a chapter or a book means. It is attributed to both Miles Coverdale and John Wycliffe. It is worth knowing and should be copied into one's copy of the Bible for constant reference and for constant application to all studies made of the Sacred Scriptures. Here it is:

The words are wonderfully encouraging to those in Christ to whom they were written.
The heathen cannot take much comfort from them.January 28, 2009 at 6:14 pm#119453NickHassanParticipantHi,
What a tragedy it would be if one was to take these teachings of Paul to oneself as if they belonged to all and not then come to the door of the kingdom, Lord Jesus, for salvation. Worse still to preach them as stumbling blocks to other heathen.January 28, 2009 at 7:27 pm#119464chosenoneParticipantNH.

Not from our Master so is Paul your master?January 29, 2009 at 2:46 am#119540GeneBalthropParticipantQuote (chosenone @ June 13 2007,18:35) Here is part of Romans, Chapter 11:26-36, explaining how Israel will be saved in the future, and how He will save all: 26 And thus all Israel shall be saved, according as it is written, Arriving out of Zion shall be the Rescuer. He will be turning away irreverence from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them Whenever I should be eliminating their sins.
28 As to the evangel, indeed, they (Jews) are enemies because of you, yet, as to choice, they are beloved because of the fathers.
29 For unregretted are the graces and the calling of God.
30 For even as you (Gentiles) once were stubborn toward God, yet now were shown mercy at their stubbornness,
31 thus these also are now stubborn to this mercy of yours, that now they also may be shown mercy.
32 For God locks up all together in stubbornness, that He should be merciful to all.
33 O, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How inscrutable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways!
34 For, who knew the mind of the Lord? or, who became His adviser?
35 or, who gives to Him first, and it will be repaid Him?
36 seeing that out of Him and through Him and for Him is all: to Him be the glory for the eons! Amen! What a powerfull statement that last part (verse 36) of scripture is, God is in complete control. He is the potter, we are the clay, He molds us as He pleases, we have no choice.
Blessings.
