CONTEXTUAL ANNIHILATION
In Christianity it is a very predominant current that Christians often bounce around in the Bible to the point that it loses all its meaning
The denominations themselves take certain portions from all throughout the bible old and new testament and form doctrines that don’t correspond with other denominations or outright go against other denominations.
This type of cherry picking actually only serves to Annihilate the Context completely in the mind of those being preached to or studied with.
Christian: If you don’t believe in Jesus Christ as your personal saviour you are going to Hell.
Jew: I don’t believe in Jesus Christ at all in anyway if he even existed he is a false prophet
Christian: Oh, you are a Jew you can not believe in Jesus and call him a false Prophet you are not going to Hell, you are chosen.
On and On…Confusion after confusion
So you can either believe in Jesus or become a Jew and say the Hell with Jesus and be saved?
Confusion after Confusion…..CONTEXTUAL ANNIHILATION
November 21, 2015 at 12:24 pm#805064ProclaimerParticipantI agree. Denominations are just another word for ‘Divisions’. There are many holes in many doctrines that Christians hold to.
That doesn’t change that Jesus the son of God however. Even among Jesus own disciples they had conflicting views about things. Fortunately they had Jesus with them to show them the way and the truth. But he left us with the Spirit, so we are not alone. Of course not all are led by the Spirit even if they say they are. And unlike the Jesus, the Spirit doesn’t speak to you as a person standing next to you, so people can claim the spirit showed them this or that.
Of course none of this demotes the idea that Jesus is the son of God and that some are led by the Holy Spirit. Each of us will find out the truth about ourselves and our views in the end. All will be judged. We can only be true ourselves and search that truth and love God and man. God promises that if you seek you will find. If we do not do that, then we may have reason to worry. People who are brought up in a religion and accept it without question have reason to worry. No matter the religion, you can know God personally and when you do, you will see through the many lies that are resident in the name of religions.
Some who do not belong to God will even say, but we did this and that in your name. But knowing God and his son is paramount. But knowing or holding to a religion whether it is Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or Atheism is not going to help you.
November 21, 2015 at 12:40 pm#805065kerwinParticipantBodhitharta,
You have the Jew wrong.
He would not say Jesus Christ, unless he was a Messianic Jew, because that is inadvertently confessing Jesus as the Anointed one.
November 21, 2015 at 12:42 pm#805067942767ParticipantHi BD:
Yes, each denomination claims to be teaching the truth, and each religion claims that they are right, and so, we are in Babylon which is confusion, and it is easy for anyone to claim to have the truth, but if God does not confirm what they teach with the same kind of signs and wonders that He did through Jesus and the Apostles in their ministry on earth, then He did not say what they teach. God will not confirm a lie.
This is the scripture showing that God is calling His people out of this confusion.
Revelation 18:
18 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Love in Christ,

Jumping around can either obtain the correct context or be misused. The guidance of the Spirit is necessary to understand the truth.

“Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him,
Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshiped him.” (John 9:35-38)islam is antichrist, it denieth the Father and the Son. (ref. 1John 2:22)

Muhammad is the false prophet of the book of Revelation.
“Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached
unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man (including Muhammad)
preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Gal 1:8-9)“And no marvel; for Satan himself is (jibreel) transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers (Muhammad) also be transformed
as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Cor 11:14-15)Muhammad was a murderous butcher who died from eating poisoned Lamb –

September 10, 2016 at 8:09 pm#817211LightenupParticipantHi Bo,
It’s been a while!
Islam is calling someone Jesus Christ that did not die on a cross and that wasn’t the Son of God. They have a different Jesus than the one who truly is the Christ. The true Christ was/is the actual Son of God, did die on a cross, was buried, and rose from the dead. Islam does not acknowledge the true Christ when they write about someone they refer to by that same name.
Blessings!
September 10, 2016 at 10:45 pm#817214MiiaParticipantI agree Bd that the Jesus taught in Islam is different than Jesus.
Jesus is the son of God. Jesus was crucified, died, and was raised from the dead. Simple facts if you believe them.
September 11, 2016 at 8:42 am#817217ProclaimerParticipantBd, everyone who has read that verse whether they believe or not have said it right?
Surely it is more than that. You must actually believe it.
Islam teaches a different Jesus. Their Jesus did not die for the sins of humanity, thus a different Jesus is being spoken of.
Anyone can make up a person and say he did this and that and then call him Jesus.
The real Jesus is the son of God and he died for our sins.
Obviously we are talking about two different people here.
Further, the return of Jesus in scripture compared to the Hadith are two different people.
The one in the Hadith seems more like the Antichrist or False Prophet of the Bible rather than the real one.
Remember, many will come saying they are the Christ and deceive many. Surely some of them will also call themselves Jesus.
September 11, 2016 at 9:09 am#817218942767ParticipantHi BD:
You say:
Islam says that Jesus is the Christ your scriptures say no one can say that without the Spirit of God
(Of course, anyone can say that Jesus is the Christ, but not because a personal encounter with him. It is the Spirit of God that testifies that what He has said relative to His uniquely begotten Son is true. Islam does not believe what God has said relative to what God has stated relative to His being conceived by the Holy Ghost nor do they believe that He was crucified, that he is the propitiation for the sins of humanity, and that he is the the only means by which anyone can be reconciled to God and be saved.)
This is what the scripture states: 1 John 5:
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

John 3 states:
33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

No BD,
“Scripture says”: no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the HolySpirit. (1 Cor 12:3)
You deny this! Your ‘al-Lah’ is satan.

Not only a different Jesus but a different ‘god’ as well!

Ed JSeptember 11, 2016 at 1:20 pm#817223Ed JParticipantHi,
For ‘a lie’ to be believed it must contain some truth, here is an element of truth in ‘the book of fraud’:
Sura 61, 14: O ye who believe! Be Allah’s helpers, even as Jesus son of Mary said unto the disciples: Who are my helpers for Allah? They said: We are Allah’s helpers. And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. Then We strengthened those who believed against their foe, and they became the uppermost.
.
Sura 3,55: (And remember) when Allah said: O Jesus! Lo! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ.“Christians” are indeed uppermost, and President Trump will assure it will remain that way
despite the Globalists and islamists attempt to usurp the will of our God YHVH! (ref. Psalm 83)____________
Blessings
