Nick,
This thread is about the natural man and not the Spiritual man. That is natural as in the human without the Spirit. Paul spoke of how the natural man, though a servant of God in his mind, is a servant of sin in his flesh.
Freud, as each other human in general, is very familiar with the man without the Spirit.
If you do not understand what it means to be a servant of sin then you could not have repented of your sins. Many understand and yet refuse to repent of all their sins.

Not only are you troubled by sin but you feel you are in a position to tell others about theirs.
Whence this deep delusion?
August 13, 2015 at 1:37 pm#802094kerwinParticipantNick,
You sound like your are not repentant.
August 13, 2015 at 1:56 pm#802098NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
If you struggle so much with sin how can you see to take the log out of the eyes of others?
August 13, 2015 at 2:47 pm#802099NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You say
“I can assure you that both a conscious and subconscious mind exist because both operate regularly in my life. The unconscious mind is harder to detect as it is unconscious. I do know memories are buried so deep that they are only recalled under certain circumstances. I also know I act instinctively at times.”
Your anecdotal discoveries about yourself do not add up to anything relevant do they?

you are mis informed for their are people that remember all their life since their second birthday ,what you can do has nothing to do as being a standard for judging the ability of others, I am sure you are not the perfect specimen ,as for me Freud is a idiot,
he has been proven wrong in many ways ,but this is only my personal opinion

I call myself a student; not a teacher.
All you have to do is speak the truth.
August 13, 2015 at 4:42 pm#802107kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
Whether or not Freud has an en extremely low IQ the bottom line is he too struggled with sin.
August 13, 2015 at 10:24 pm#802110NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You need to decide whom to follow. Freud is not in agreement with Jesus.

you seem not to understand the real struggle of us men born as offspring of Adam and the only begotten son of God born not by men or by the will of men but by God in heaven ,
Jesus was known by the devil “Satan” and Satan as given his best shot to get him corrup ,
but us we are basically born corrup ,and you try to show us that Christ is the same as us ,? you are confused
August 14, 2015 at 8:35 am#802121kerwinParticipantterrarica,
According to Scripture Jesus is a son of Adam, as of the flesh. (Luke 3:23-38)
August 14, 2015 at 8:37 am#802122kerwinParticipantterraricca,
According to Scripture Jesus was tempted even as we are.(Hebrews 4:15)
August 14, 2015 at 8:45 am#802123kerwinParticipantterrarica,
Jesus had both the flesh and the Spirit as he lived his mortal life but he was never really a servant of sin because he never sinned.
He teach “anyone that sins is a servant of sin” (John 8:34) and we know he did sin even though he was tempted as common to men so it follows he was never a servant of sin.

what do you mean Jesus had the spirit ?
August 15, 2015 at 7:18 am#802162kerwinParticipantNick,
You are correct that I meant Jesus did not sin. Sorry to everyone.
August 15, 2015 at 7:22 am#802163kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
I thought you already knew that Scripture foretold that God would put his Spirit on Jesus. (Matthew 12:18 and Isaiah 42:1)
August 15, 2015 at 8:48 am#802166terrariccaParticipantkw
yes I do but I am not sure you do ;so what about Jesus self spirit ? for that cannot be the same than the one he received from his father right ? no

figuratively yes but not in reality
August 15, 2015 at 9:28 am#802169kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
You are correct that Jesus has his own spirit since he has his own will.
