Hi All,
To further the discussion about Gods all, lets discuss Christ all. this is part two to the previous thread. God wants to be everything to us. But how is it that Christ is all in all? what does that mean to you and how does it fit with the verse stating that God maybe all in all.
How is it that in Christ all the fullness of God is in Jesus?
How can Jesus be all in all first, before God?Colossians 3
10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
(Christ is for everybody and every person position)
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
(Christ has the fullnes of the Godhead)
10: And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
(Christ is the head of all principality and power)
Colossians 1:19
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell.
(Christ has all fullness dwelt in him)How is it that Ephesians 1 presents that the fullnes of him is in the body, to fill all in all.
What does that mean to God who maybe all in all according to Corinthians.We can agree its the same writer which is Paul.
How can that be?
What does Paul mean when he usese the phrases all in all.Observations:
>Scripture is stating that Christ is all, and also IN all.
>The new man is in the image of Christ, but not into the likeness of Christ.
>the New man was created by Jesus.
>Where divison does not matter, nor does race, nor relgious costume, nor slaved or free, that Christ is for us all and to be in all.
>The Godhead, fullness is in Christ
>all fullness is in christ.
>IF all fullnes is in Christ yet also in God the father, than there can only be one God, and they are one and the same.
Is Paul saying that Christ is God?Use context and scripture when responding please.

It is the spirit of GOD that is the anointing that was in Jesus , So the spirit in Jesus made him the Christ and that spirit was (FROM) GOD the FATHER , it is the (SAME) Spirit we recieve From the Same FATHER. The spirit of Christ is simply the same spirit all who have it in them have in them to , it (the Christos) is the common denominator in (ALL) true Christians. The spirit of Christ is not any different then the spirit of GOD that is in all God gives it to. It is the seed of God the FATHER that is in (ALL) his childern. IMO

Gene: I couldn't agree more. You are right on here. Its time we all spend our energies rising up into the truth and reflecting the truth through the healing power of the holy spirit. Exposing the annointing that is avaliable today the same as it was back then. Its not for one, its for ALL who believe. When will we begin to see. If being sick or eaten alive by cancer, or loosing one's mind through Alzheimers isn't enough hell for some, it sure is enough hell for me. God blesses all, TK

The Spirit of God is in all who are in Christ.

To all,
I am of the opinion that Christ is in those who enter the new covenant because the same spirit of holiness that was in him is not in those that believe. The origion of the spirit of holiness is God and thus both God and Jesus are in those that believe just as Jesus asked in his prayor in John 17.
In other words it is not the soul or flesh of Jesus that is in us but it is his spirit. I am not going to voice an opinion about mind or heart except to say if you live by the spirit of Christ then you will come to have a mind and heart just like his.
