Hi Oxy,
Know the Spirit of Christ and the blessed vessel, Jesus.June 12, 2010 at 8:59 am#195360JustAskinParticipantOxy,
Your last comment to Mike, I mentioned this to him before and to t8. This thing of saying 'someone is themself' smacks of 'sillyness', below the level intelligent discord.
T8 explained that 'it was a reasonable question' [given the line of reasoning], and in some cases the posters line of reasoning can get tortuous, especially if they are trying to twist away from their original line of thinking without appearing to be doing so (They get caught, snakelike, by their own tale (pun intended! In a true statement, the head should never touch the tail) God never touches man except through a third party, a Field Marshall never actually 'does battle' except through third parties, the chairman never actually 'physically makes' his company's products, God never physically made the heavens andthe earth but through third parties….)
Mike,
Did I not warn you before this began…
It is wonderful how the Holy Spirit works…
“Come close and hear this”…
“I am what I Am, and what I Am needs no excuses!”This is what the Spirit said to me this morning… How could I have known that I would be saying it to you, This Day!
Yes, I'm raw
Scratch you with my claw
Your response – pretty poor
Yet you keep coming back with more.I asked you to refrain
cos there would be much pain
I asked once more, and then again
but you said,”S'Ok, I'm stayin'!”Have I not said before, then I say again:
“He who God shows out the door, he first drives them insane”But I say 'not'.
I say that it is said because the sayer has misunderstood, sometimes 'deliberately so' in an attempt to discredit their opponent.

If you knew the the hidden history then you would understand.
For did I not write
Gave preWarning – insight
Requested he take flight
But he stayed for the fight. Now, who in Scriptures could that be possibly be likened to? Don't think too much, it doesn't take a lot!

So which should disregard John 1:1? In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God? Was John mistaken?
Oxy………God's word (IS) God , just as your Words are you and John 1:1 Shows us that GOD and His WORD are one and the same thing. If John wanted to imply Jesus there He would have just written Jesus there , He knew him and knew how to spell his name right? If he meant to say Jesus he would have written it there. Hi Gene, The Word of God was made flesh.. pretty simple.. and He was called Jesus. Since His resurrection He has received His title of Word again.. Rev 19.13. Can mere words ride a horse?June 12, 2010 at 7:05 pm#195433OxyParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 12 2010,20:15) Hi Oxy,

So where in scripture do you see mention of a body for God of flesh and from the dust of earth?
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom[1cor15]June 12, 2010 at 7:16 pm#195439OxyParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 13 2010,08:13) Hi Oxy,

Didn't Jesus come in flesh and blood? That's not to say He was always flesh and blood obviously, and I'm not saying we are exactly like God, that would be foolishness, but we are a three part being are we not?

I don't recall saying that God has a body Nick, other than the body of His Son.June 12, 2010 at 7:23 pm#195444ArnoldParticipantQuote (Oxy @ June 13 2010,06:05) Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 12 2010,20:15) Hi Oxy,

Oxy We are a soul, not of a souls, that is a difference. We have a Spirit that is of man and not of God… God's Holy Spirit is what we receive at Baptism when the minister lays hands on you, and we receive God's Holy Spirit, without it we cannot understand anything…..of God….what is really like God? Only that which God has given us. We are not immortal like God…. God made sure of that, why? Becuse He made the Angels that way and they sinned, so He made us different so we can be tested and die in the Lake of Fire if we don't follow Him…..

Was Jesus spirit when He was raised up in the clouds, or had He received a new body?June 12, 2010 at 7:43 pm#195455OxyParticipantQuote (Arnold @ June 13 2010,08:23) Oxy We are a soul, not of a souls, that is a difference. We are a soul, not of a souls? I'm sorry, that doesn't make sense to me. I don't know what you are saying.I am very well aware of our spirit and the Holy Spirit and the differences.
How can you compare us with angels? We are children of God, nothing like the angels. Do you think God didn't know what He was doing?
I'm sorry, but your reply confuses me.
Peace.
June 12, 2010 at 7:45 pm#195456NickHassanParticipantHi Oxy,
He was raised in the tattered flesh and bones body he died in [Lk24.39] to fulfill the promise shown in Acts 2.22-36 and Rom1
Since flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom[1cor15] I suggest he was changed when he left their sight.
When his brothers are raised in a new imperishable body they will be like now to him[1cor15]
What we will exactly be like is yet unknown[1Jn3.2]June 12, 2010 at 7:49 pm#195461OxyParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 13 2010,08:45) Hi Oxy,

Good answer Nick. I'm on board with you there. Christ left in His new body and will return in the same way according to the Scriptures.June 12, 2010 at 7:58 pm#195465NickHassanParticipantHi Oxy,

I do not believe God is divided Nick, but John 14:26 says “But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.”Did Father God send Himself?
