    WOE,WOE, WOE.
There will be many preaching Roman chapter 13.and putting great emphasis on this chapter, saying that we must obey the rules of the leaders of this world, for God has put them there and they are doing Gods work.(just watch).

For they are not preachers of God ,but preachers of their own belly.

We indeed must follow the rules of the government, but we also must read other scriptures that says; as long as the rules dont contradict Gods word.

When God says, anyone that receive the mark of the beast will be punished, then we must follow Gods rules, and not the government. Many preachers will come and preach strongly that Christians must obey what ever the authority says, its Gods will.

We must build a strong foundation,or it will be swept away by the great flood. We need rock for our foundation.

REv.14:9. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,; If any man worship the the beast and his image, and received his mark in his forehead,or in his hand.

    10. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignaton; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.

    11. And the smoke of their torment ascended up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever received the mark of his name.

Many christians will rather follow the rules of the govenment,to save their own lives.(for many are called but a few chosen).
He,who saves his own live, will loose his life, and he who looses his life for God will find life.

Dont be afraid of them that can only kill the body, but rather be afraid of him that can kill the body and the soul.

Many will not like this post, but someone has to do it.
    greetings to you all.

    Hi WU,
Jesus and Paul submitted to the unjust rulers of their day.
    All authority comes from God.

All things work together for good for those who love God and live according to His purposes

    Nick.

This is true, but when the law of the ruler of the day is against Gods law,we must reject it.
Just as daniel did, when the law of the day said he must not pray to his God,he ends up in the lions den.

    Nick.

We pray for all our brothers and for the lost, but God makes the decision; its not wrong to pray for our secular rulers.
But scripture will teach us not to pray for the anti christs rulers, for they are not on christ side.

    1 Timothy 2
1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.  3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

    Acts 4
18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God.

Wakeup, I agree that we are taught to obey our earthly rulers – but never crossing the point where obeying them would cause us to act against the commandments of our Creator.

This is the scripture I meant to contrast with Acts 4:
    1 Peter 2
13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

But my agreement with your point remains the same.  :)

Yes, because they make the law to punish the murderers, and the thiefs, to keep the peace,in the community.
But we know its not perfect, but it helps.

    Hi WU,
So all resistance to authority is hypothetical?

His kingdom is not of this world.

    Nick,

I think Wakeup is envisioning a time like the one spoken of in Daniel 7:25.  I believe he is saying that when a kingdom like that comes into power, and we are requested by the king to do things that would profane the name of Jehovah, then we are no longer under the obligation that Peter spoke about in the scripture I just posted.

He is saying that when man's law comes in conflict with God's law, we are to obey God's law over man's law every time.

    Nick.

God is teaching us to obey authority,He does not like rebellious people, like satan is.
Obey authotity as long as it does not go against Gods laws.
God also teaches children to obey their parents; God does not like rebellious children.

So the only likely occasion is to do with accepting the MARK?

As it is after the bridegroom comes it should not involve us.

    Nick.

? We just must learn to obey authority, for it is God that put them there,God is in control of all things.
He has a purpose; a plan. All our sufferings are also for a purpose.

Many think that God is like santa clause, with lots of presents,
Give me,give me, give me God.(with the spirit of -GET- in them).
They worship God because he is rich; he knows; and thats not the sort of worship he wants.

He wants us to worship him even through sufferings, this is true worship, this is true love for God.
