Just curious if anyone else out there in Heaven Net are married to non believers?

My wife knows of my belief but we agree to disagree.  I believe that God created the family before He ever asked for or directed a house of worship to be constructed.

My wife is a spiritual person, we pray together every morning..she just isnt a Christian.  It not easy, I love the Lord and my wife.

    Hi Boomerang,

Hopefully someday your wife will know the love of Jesus and realize how much He wants to have a relationship with her. Even being in a Christian marriage, one person may be completely not interested in apologetics and studying the Bible while the other is very much so interested it that. Fortunately we can all love each other where we are on our spiritual paths and even learn many lessons along the way as we walk with them through life. We are only going to feel completely loved and satisfied by the love of God. Fortunately there are online forums like this where you can discuss faith topics that you can’t discuss at home due to a lack of interest.

Keep walking in the Spirit…He knows and has a plan.

    Blessings, LU

Pray that she will come to understand that like anything in this world, there is good and evil / light and darkness and that especially includes spiritual stuff.

    Hi Boomerang,

Have you also considered these verses?

“But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not,
and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which
hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband:
else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart.
A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.” (1 Cor 7:12-15)

    Hi Boomerang,

Have you showed your wife this verse?

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:
and he is the savior of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.” (Ephesians 5:22-24)

(1 Cor 7:12-15)  Thanks for sharing it here.  Yes I recall it from time to time and it is a great help to me.  My wife and I share the same fundamentalist background and even she from time to time reminds me of certain verses. We do get along so well and care for each other and our children. I pray for my entire family that they would come to a knowledge of Messiah.

Boomerang. ……Welcome to the site.  I agree with what T8 said, seems like you have a good relationship, let her be who she is and you be who you are,   sounds like it been working for you both.

Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene

If she believes in Ephesians 5:22-24,
then you are not ‘unequally yoked’
as “your voice” has the final say.

    Hi Boomerang,

This verse (from the Tanakh) indicates that YA-shu-a was “The Son of God” (our Messiah) from conception):

“Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth?
what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Prov 30:4-6)

what is his name ……………. YeHoVaH (The LORD, meaning “The Owner”)
and what is his son’s name …… YA-shu-a (Lord, meaning Owner – as he is Son of “The Owner”)

YA-shu-a – Jesus name means “YA’s salvation” as Jesus is “The Savior”

    …and this verse

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing
their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Cor 5:19)

    ____________
    God bless
