May 22, 2010 at 1:14 pm#191584AdminKeymasterI am accessing the Board in the exact way everyone else is. Via a web browser, connection, and PC.
I have no special technology. Just using the correct username and password, that is all.May 22, 2010 at 6:46 pm#191601ArnoldParticipantt8 but you know your Password right? I had forgotten ours, when I clicxked on that part, our e-mail was not excepted….Georg tried too, so it is not just me……that is why I had to come up with another one, our Daughters, then I was able to Log-In….and when I post it still comes uo with that Error page, but it does post, I just have to go and click onto H.N. again……..I would love to go back to my former users name…. we had what three or four so far….. either I am dumb or our Computer is….Thanks again

t8,Even if I was not entering the correct password which I am it still won't send me the confirmation email with a new password.
So I cannot log in from another computer if I am away. I am limited to being logged in on my personal user on my pc. I have to rely on not accidentally logging out on my personal user on my pc.
I still cannot send a pm. And I do not receive notification that I have received a pm. I must go directly to my inbox to find out if I have a pm.
Again, even if I had forgotten my password I am without the option of creating a new password becuase I get the “server error” page instead of the confirmation email with new password.

May 22, 2010 at 10:32 pm#191615AdminKeymasterYes I realise that there is a problem with retrieving passwords. I have acknowledged that and when I have some time will look at a fix.
I am just trying to sort out if there is a problem with ISP caching too. Sometimes when you use a web site a lot, your ISP saves a local version of the site that you have accessed (as it works out cheaper) and dishes that up to you instead of the very latest version of the site. Even if the page is new and has new posts, it can still serve up older versions of stylesheets and config files.
It just takes time for their cache to flush out of their system. ISP cache is a real problem. Sometimes you can get around it by not adding in the www in the front of the URL. Browsers treat the same URL without the www as a different page and hence all associated files might be requested from the server too instead of cache.
Anyway, I am sure there is a problem with anything that requires an email to be sent.
May 22, 2010 at 10:54 pm#191616AdminKeymasterOK, I have fixed the email problem.
So some of you who requested passwords should get an email for every time you made a request. You could just ignore them, or answer one of them if you want a new password.
May 22, 2010 at 11:00 pm#191618AdminKeymasterMy guess is all server errors should go away. I think that sometimes a page gave that error because of the tracking ability that required a check or reminder via email that a topic was updated. Because the emails are working, my guess is that the server errors after posting will go away too.
I hope so anyway.

Hey t8,I am now able to login after creating a new password. I also sent a test pm and it indicated it went through.
