What do the scriptures show as to where sin originates?
Ge 8:21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
Evil comes from the imagination of man's heart. Man's imagination is a creation coming from his OWN mind.
What does scripture say tempts man, leading him to sin?
James 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
1 Kings 8:37 “When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; 38 whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple: 39 then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men), 40 that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers.
Interesting how some say we should fear invisible spirits, because they know our hearts and play upon them to cause us to do evil. Interesting how people seem to love and follow their own ideas over scripture.
People need to stop giving YHWH's powers He ALONE declares that He has. To see the mind of man and work with that mind according to a personal will is an ability God ALONE holds.
We see in the bible God's messengers being called satan, so indeed there are spirits out there according to the text, that will do unpleasant things unto man. Not only do we have scripture that directly calls God's messengers evil spirits and satans, we also have scripture that tell us that it is YHWH alone through His powers ALONE that can bring calamity, curse, and darkness upon man. Man may not like it, but it is done according to God's will, which is under a righteous purpose. Scripture says that God tests the hearts and minds of men. Even Jesus who walked perfectly in God’s ways, God felt it was necessary for him to suffer in order to further learn obedience.
Romans 5: 3And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Hebrews 5:8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
What we DON’T have in scripture are evil spirits with YHWH’s SAME powers, using those powers against the will of YHWH to serve their own wicked desires. What we DON’T have are evil spirits that use supernatural powers to cause man knowingly or unknowingly to sin.
If YHWH ALONE sees the hearts of men, then evil spirits working outside of God’s will, being able to go inside the hearts of men, and influence those hearts, is rather impossible, now isn’t it?
You cannot influence something you don’t have the power to see. Only YHWH has the ability to see supernaturally inside the heart and mind of man, and to work with that heart according to His own will.
Sin in scripture is never shown to originate with fallen angels or any other sort of rebel spirits
Who invents evil, thus being the author or originator of sin?
What do the scriptures say,
Neh 6: 8 Then I sent to him, saying, “No such things as you say are being done, but you invent them in your own heart.”
Psalms 81:11 “But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. 12 So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels. 13 “Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!
Nu 15:39 And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined,
Romans 1:21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man–and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
Pr 14:10 The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its joy.
Pr 14:14 The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above.
Pr 18:2 A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.
Pr 28:26 He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.
Jer 16:12 And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one follows the dictates of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me.
Jer 18:12 And they said, “That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.”
Jer 23:16 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord.
Jer 23:17 They continually say to those who despise Me, 'The Lord has said, “You shall have peace” '; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, 'No evil shall come upon you.' ”
Jer 23:26 How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
Eze 13:2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, 'Hear the word of the Lord!' ”
Eze 13:17 “Likewise, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; prophesy against them,
Ac 5:4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
Jas 1:26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue
but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. There is NO scripture that shows that man is deceived by rebel spirits. The scriptures abound and are clear that sin comes out of the heart and mind of man himself. MAN INVENTS, CONCEIVES, DICTATES THE EVIL THAT EXISTS IN THE WORLD!
Man fills himself with evil thoughts, he invents false visions. Man is thus the identity of the devil, or rather slanderer.

Lust conceives in the heart of man and gives birth to sin [jas1].
Sin thus comes to lives in men [Rom7]So this conception is not that of the man but of the lust that he has naturally within him.
The life of the sin within him is another life form from the man's own life. This lust is not sin itself but gives birth to sin and given heed to results in sin behaviours.

So the only remaining question is how did the lusts become part of man's natural makeup?
God did not make man lustful but His creation is said to be very good.I think when Adam obeyed Satan, the serpent, he sold himself into slavery

peace and love………………..gene
