Yes Ed you are all upset about nothing.
It obviously riles you that you have to let your yes be yes and your no be no.
So I take it that 'confirmed' means yes to my question? Please answer.
IMO, if a person kicks and screams as much as possible rather than answer a simple and reasonable yes & no question, then that person is not being 100% honest or is not 100% secure in what they believe.
Unlike yourself Edj, I give a yes, no, or I don't know answer when it is a reasonable question because I am straight up and I do not respect anyone who tries to win on a technicality or with the devil in the details. A yes and no question cuts through the crap and if a person cannot answer the question, they are hiding something.
Even if it looked like it might prove me wrong, I would answer the question because if I was wrong, I would want to be proved wrong. Why? So I can become a better person. So I can have more truth in my life. So I can teach others the truth I have learned.
What is the problem man. Why do you have to act this way. Let your yes be yes and your no be no.

And how exactly does let your yes be yes and your no be not help establish truth? It is the opposite EdJ.
It helps because avoiding a yes and no question is usually designed to stops a person from seeing the simple by offering something complicated. Complication is a more comfortable place for someone who is not being straight up or is hiding something.
Your conduct here speaks volumes about what manner of man you are. If you are scared of saying yes or no, then what are you hiding? A known weak argument? Lack of love for the truth? What is the problem?

Amazing isn't it Mike. A man who avoids simple yes or no questions is hiding something.Matthew 5:37
Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.James 5:12
But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment.November 1, 2012 at 3:32 am#318406mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Ed J @ Oct. 30 2012,16:21) Hi Mike, God's message was given in Hebrew, refined in Greek, and a further refinement was given in English.
So there is no need to go back to the ambiguity of certain Hebrew words like “EL-o-heem” and “malak”.
So all those who speak French are just screwed, huh? And those who speak Latin? And German? And Russian? And about 10,000 other languages?God only wanted ENGLISH speaking people to have His real truth?
Hmmmm………………..

Ed has shown some concern in the past about people “tricking him” with YES or NO questions. I keep telling him that if he just answers truthfully and honestly, no one will be able to “trick” him into a lie.November 1, 2012 at 5:35 am#318422ProclaimerParticipantExactly. If you had nothing to hide and was willing to learn truth to the point of admitting when you were wrong, then you could answer any reasonable question with yes or no.
Not so with EdJ is seems. And I think this has done more damage to his teaching than anything else given that we know people by their fruits. If they can't answer simple yes or no questions, then it makes people suspicious of their teaching.
