    Mike, Terra,

Allegory, is the term for the 'Abraham/Rich man' story.

Once again it seems everyone forgets…amnesia abounds…has this not been gone through…

    The points are these:
    1) Riches cannot save one from hell.
    2) Do good while you can.
    3) The 'dead' cannot communicate with the living.

It is nothing to do with the dead 'talking', except to say that even if they could, why would anyone believe [Wisdom from] the dead if they don't even believe [Wisdom from] the living.

KJ only tried to say it was a 'true' story so he could claim that Jesus 'wasn't really dead' in the grave.

    Hi JA,

While I agree with you that the Abraham in Hades story is only a parable/allegory/whatever, that is only OUR understanding of it, not “scriptural fact”.

    And comments like this…

are unecessary IMO.  Just because you have discussed something on HN does not mean I have.  And even if I have, it does not mean I have discussed it with Pierre.  And even if I have, it does not mean either one of us agree with your “Final Word” on the matter as if we don't have our own thoughts.  And even if we do agree with you, it doesn't mean we don't want to discuss it further or in a different light.

Face it, EVERYTHING that is being discussed on any thread right now has most likely already been discussed hundreds of times on HN.  :D

Just friendly advice, nothing more.   :)

    peace and love,

    Hi T,
The second flock of sheep is shown in Mt24.
They are found in the general judgement after the millenium and the second resurrection

    hi nick

    JA

    how you doing?

you say ;1) Riches cannot save one from hell.
    2) Do good while you can.
    3) The 'dead' cannot communicate with the living

1)means to me;men plan without God fails, and brings no reward.
2)live a godly live so you will do good while you are in the flesh,by pleasing God.

3)your dead will put a end to your ability to perform good work, and so now become accountable for all the things you have done.(your flesh is gone but the spirit of you that is what only God can destroye and this will only be done at the final judgement ,so you (spirit )is not dead since Christ)

Rev 22:11 Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy.”

    Hi Pierre,

I don't know that the 144,000 will “judge” with Jesus.  Does Rev say that?

    mike

ps, I still go with Solomon who says the dead are conscious of nothing despite Jesus' parable about Lazarus and Abraham.  I think that was a parable, not a reality, but who can be sure until they die?

    hi mike

here is my ref;Rev 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge.

    Pierre

ps;it is similar to Moses and the 70 elders who he placed to judge the nation of Israel.

    Hi T,
Read Mt 24. Some are called sheep and the rest are called goats
The sheep did not enter through the gate of Jesus and were not expecting to be saved.
They were saved by their WORKS towards the brothers of Jesus who share his Holy Spirit and God sovereignly grants them mercy.

    Blessed are the merciful

you should be more careful;Jn 10:16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd

i believe since Christ all who die go in the place assigned to them according to there living live,(the flesh is gone but the spirit goes into the place of God and waits for resurrection, all of them and us wen we die,and the kingdom will come wen the time that as been set by God comes to be.

    Hi Terraricca,

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or,
lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him. The Kingdom of God came to all believers of Christ beginning at “Pentecost”!

your misunderstanding of God s kingdom is obvious ,you still believe that for some reason the kingdom is something .??? in you.

king David was made king while someone else was still sitting on the throne (Saul)who was rejected .

similarity;Satan first in place (garden of Eden)thrown out by God.replace by king Jesus

took 8 years or so before David could be totally king in Israel.

all the people who love David ad to be prudent to say it openly for Saul would retaliate.
so in that similar sense i believe the kingdom of David was in the heart of his supporters,(until Saul died)

and so it is with the kingdom of God and Christ if we support the kingdom of God and his king ,that kingdom is alive in us,until Christ comes in full power and take is kingdom like a storm.

    Terra,

Nick is just thrashing at trying to show Scripture.
He is a stumbling block, he has purchased something unrighteous for himself and his posts reflect the penalty he is paying.

Terra, please do not stress yourself over his posts. Scriptures says not to argue with deluded people lest you yourself become deluded by trying to show them wisdom, and then, who can tell the difference between the two of you.

Besides, there is no law that says 'you must reply to nonesense posts'

    Hi Terraricca,

In case you didn't know Christ's Kingdom is His Father's Kingdom!

Psalm 10:16 The LORD(YHVH) is King for ever and ever:
the heathen are perished out of his land.
Psalm 29:10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood;yea,
The LORD(YHVH) sitteth King for ever.

Eph. 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
1Cor.15:24-28 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God,
even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he
must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is
    death
. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is
manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto
him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

This forum has become a forum of disillusionment of its members.

Is there one who is 'Holy' enough to expouse anything of Scriptural truth.

And is there even one other than believes them?
