Quote (terraricca @ July 04 2010,13:25) edj you say;My view of the Bible is based on understanding it as a whole,
so i do the same but without numbers,
i have a question for you ;in Israel at the time of the kings there was a king very bad far from God doing evil things,
he lived+or- 70and ruled for like 50 years why
Hi Terraricca,Why are you telling me lies like that while at the very same time you're Posting numbers; are you a hypocrite?
That's a Good question, if Oxy does converse with God (as he says), Oxy would be the one to ask God for you.
But Oxy says he isn't feeling comfortable asking God questions that others want answered? (Mark 10:42-45)
Perhaps God really isn't talking to Oxy as he professes he is? (Jeremiah 23:37 / Isaiah 41:28-29 / Micah 3:7)Jeremiah 23:37-40 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee?
and, What hath the LORD spoken? But since ye say, [The message of the LORD]; therefore
thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, [The message of the LORD], and I have
sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, [The message of the LORD]; Therefore, behold,
I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I (YHVH) will forsake you, and the city that I gave
you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: And I(יהוה האלהים) will bring an
everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.God bless

Hi Pierre,Okay, I'll bite. Without looking I'm thinking it was Ahaziah. I don't know if I am right, but I remember thinking, “Why did God let him rule/live so long when he did the detestable things God hated?”
But I'm curious as to why you think that was.

Mikeno ,it was Manasseh,2Ch33;1-2…..
ruled for 55 years did all bad to the God
he made the choice ,he knew,he ad the power, and use it ,but it takes people vote to govern and it only so can happen because of the people,
this is confirmed by ;A message came to Elijah from the LORD. He said, “Elijah, what are you doing here?”
1Ki 19:10 He replied, “LORD God who rules over all, I’ve been very committed to you. The people of Israel have turned their backs on your covenant. They have torn down your altars. They’ve put your prophets to death with their swords. I’m the only one left. And they are trying to kill me.”
1Ki 19:11 The LORD said, “Go out. Stand on the mountain in front of me. I am going to pass by.”
As the LORD approached, a very powerful wind tore the mountains apart. It broke up the rocks. But the LORD wasn’t in the wind.
After the wind there was an earthquake. But the LORD wasn’t in the earthquake.
1Ki 19:12 After the earthquake a fire came. But the LORD wasn’t in the fire.
And after the fire there was only a gentle whisper.
1Ki 19:13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his coat over his face. He went out and stood at the entrance to the cave.
Then a voice said to him, “Elijah, what are you doing here?”
1Ki 19:14 He replied, “LORD God who rules over all, I’ve been very committed to you. The people of Israel have turned their backs on your covenant. They have torn down your altars. They’ve put your prophets to death with their swords. I’m the only one left. And they are trying to kill me.”
1Ki 19:15 The LORD said to him, “Go back the way you came. Go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael as king over Aram.
1Ki 19:16 Also anoint Jehu as king over Israel. He is the son of Nimshi. And anoint Elisha from Abel Meholah as the next prophet after you. He is the son of Shaphat.
1Ki 19:17 Jehu will put to death anyone who escapes Hazael’s sword. And Elisha will put to death anyone who escapes Jehu’s sword.
1Ki 19:18 “But I will keep 7,000 people in Israel for myself. They have not bowed down to Baal. And they have not kissed him.”this is where the righteous succeed and the wicket fail.

Just spit it out, T. Do you agree with Jack that God's Kingdom has already come? If so, where can I find New Jerusalem so I can go worship God in His presence? Can I MapQuest it? TO ALL:The kingdom of God cannot be found on “Mapquest.” Jesus said that the kingdom is “within you.” He said also that His kingdom is “not from here.”
Jesus PLAINLY said that some of His disciples would remain alive to see the kingdom of God.
27But I tell you of A TRUTH, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. Luke 9:27
Matthew's account:
28TRULY I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Matt. 16:28
Jesus said that His statement that some would remain alive to see His coming was “the truth.” Christ's kingdom is altogether spiritual and Mike's “Mapquest” remark is a scoff at spiritual truth.

The “Now” has happened.
The “Later” will come soon.

As KJ says: The kingdom of God is, indeed, within you – look into yourself and you will find it there.

God allows wickedness to persist to weed out those who truly honor Him.
Those who do will keep themselves, will not bow down and 'Kiss baal'.
If you keep lifting up your child ever time he stumbles he will come to expect you to do so even when he is grown. If, even, mankind know that – are we then wiser than God?

Where did Christ promise Peter that he would be changed in an instant? Peter was crucified up side down for Christ. Then there is Caiaphas the High Priest. Jesus told Him that he would see the Son of Man coming in the clouds (Matt. 26:64). If you believe as Mike that a person ceases to exist when he dies, then Jesus would have had to come in the clouds before Caiaphas died in order for Him to see it.

NO! The “kingdom of God within you” means that Christ reigns in your heart. You didn't answer my point that Jesus said that His kingdom is not from here:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

t,Can you answer that Jesus told Caiaphas the high priest that he would see the Son of Man coming in the clouds (Matt. 26:64)? Most anti-trinitarians here believe that when we die we cease to exist. This means that Jesus would have had to return before Caiaphas died. How could he see the Son of Man coming in the clouds after he ceased to exist?
You said that Peter saw His coming because he was changed. Where did Jesus tell Peter he would be changed? And what about the other disciples? Jesus said that “some” of them would live to see the Son of Man coming. So Peter was not the only original disciple who was to be an eye witness of the event.
