“Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

For there are three that testify
The Spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in agreement.

If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater
for the testimony of God is this that He has testified concerning his Son

The one who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in himself,
the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar
because he has not believed the testimony that God has given concerning His Son.

And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life , and this life is in His Son.
He who has the Son has life;he who does not have the Son of God does not have that life.”

So those who have believed the message from God about the Son, obeyed it and followed Jesus Christ through the water and into the life in the Spirit now share in his death and will share in his resurrection[rom6]. They can point to their path as being true. They have in their hearts the assurance of faith that is beyond reason that they are saved and have eternal life.

1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth,
the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
The “HolySpirit” cleanses us by the water of the word through the shed blood of Jesus.

There are three that bear witness –IN HEAVEN.
The FATHER;the WORD; and the HOLY GHOST.

And there are three tht bear witness -ON EARTH.
The SPIRIT; the water; and the BLOOD.
Dont you understand this part?

Let me explain: the spirit = the truth of his preaching.
the water and the blood = his sacrifice,that he was truly dead. Water and blood oozing out of the body,is proof that he was truly dead.

No one can say that he was not truly dead,the water and the blood is proof.
