    Hi Jammin,
Jesus became the Son of God at the Jordan and God proclaimed it Himself.

Becoming there united with the Spirit of God in the Word

    We follow that blessed way.

    Hi Nick,

Why is Jesus called God's “only begotten Son”
if he didn't become God's son until(?) Jordan?
Rather is that not when he became “Christ”?

We are “ALL” children of the most high. (Psalm 82:6).
Then God's Spirit confirms it within us. (Romans 8:16)

Jesus was confirmed to be God's son at the Jordan river,
we are confirmed as God's children by God's Spirit within.

    Your brother
    in Christ, Jesus.

    1. Christ means(?) “God”?  and
    2. Christ means(?) “Son of God”?

    God bless

    ed,
the Son of Man is MAn. truly man

the Son of GOD is GOD. truly GOD!

    Hi Jammin,

PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTIONS THAT I ASKED,
instead of making up questions to answer that I have NOT ASKED; OK?    …please, pretty please with sugar on top?

    Hi ED,
Monogenes is difficult to be shown in English but it certainly does not state that he was the ONLY SON THAT WAS BEGOTTEN.Otherwise Heb 11.17 would not make sense.

The Son of the Living God IS the CHRIST.
” You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”
The Jews knew they were historically sons of God through Adam [Deut 14.1, ps 82] but they were seriously upset when Jesus claimed to be THE Son of God knowing Ps 2 and Prov 30.4. They knew such a claim was amazing.

We who have been reborn from above [Jn3] are born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ [1Peter1]. We now have fellowship with the Father and the Son by that Spirit.

We have been commanded to follow Jesus Christ. Why would God provide for him a different gate to the kingdom than for other men? His sonship to God by conception was not sole but included his mother Mary.

God does not share the parenthood of his sons and Mary cannot become our mother. Jesus Christ became the first of many brothers [heb 2.11] having the same Father. Our rebirth is of water and the Spirit and he too went through those baptisms.

The LIGHT of jn 1.12 which enlightens every man is the Word/Spirit.
” but as many as received him he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in his name who were born NOT OF BLOOD nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man but of God”
excludes his conception and birth of Mary. This was further explained to Nicodemus.

There are things said in scripture about those BORN OF WOMAN [eg Job 25] that do not promote the birth of the man Jesus in a positive light. His sonship to God by conception would be under this curse.

The proclamation of Sonship to God promised in ps 2 was first shown by God at the Jordan after the Holy Spirit had come down on him.

” This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased”

Is it not surprising that God would wait till he was 30 to do so?

“The Sons of God are LED BY the Spirit of God” Rom 8

It is true of us and of him.

He was not said to be LED BY the Spirit till after the Jordan.[Lk4.1] We follow Jesus the Son of Man into sonship by God's Spirit by baptism of the Spirit.

    Hi Nick,

It DOES make perfect sense; allow me to explain why YHVH used that wording.
ALL the promises of God to Abraham apply through Isaac, but not through Ishmael.
And in like manor, ALL the promises of God apply through Jesus, but not through Adam.

I hope my explanation helps you to understand why God put it that way in the AKJV Bible.

    Christ means Son of GOD.

    why is he GOD?

as we can see in john 1.1, john says he is GOD! the WORD IS GOD! and that WORD is the SON OF GOD!
it is also stated in 1 john 5.20 that christ is TRULY GOD!
    not a false god!

    he is TRULY GOD!

    1 John 5:20

    GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

20We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we know the real God. We are in the one who is real, his Son Jesus Christ. This Jesus Christ is the real God and eternal life.

    better luck next time boys

    Hi Jammin,
Yes you should be in the Son and then you too can know his God.
The Son is not his own father.

    Hi Nick,

Your wording is fuzzy again as it was in your last question.
I couldn't answer “yes” to your last question ONLY because
you didn't pluralize son; because they are TWO different sons.

    So both Isaac and Jesus
    were the ONLY BEGOTTEN SONS?
        …YES to this question!

I'll do you one better on the next question, and start without any games.

This next question has problems with the wording as well, though I will not
tell you what it is. I will instead post related scripture and await your next move.

“And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people,
that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when
Paul had laid his hands upon them, the HolySpirit came on them;” (Acts 19:3-6)

Mark 1:8 I(John the baptist) indeed have baptized you with water:
but he(Jesus of Nazareth) shall baptize you with the HolySpirit.

    in Christ, Jesus.

    Hi ED,
So Christ in the sons of God is still baptising folk into the Kingdom and giving them of His Spirit.
Unless you have the Spirit of Christ you are none of his.[Rom8]
