Revelations opens with the statement that Jesus has already made a kingdom of Saints/Priests, and that Jesus is the ruler of the kings on the earth, and that Jesus will come, and every eye will see, and that when he comes (on par with the rest of the NT), there will be a new heavens and a new earth.
How do you understand the new heavens, and the new earth.

Notice that this world is getting worse, plus there will be a great falling away coming.
The fact here is that Jesus in not ruling in His kingdom right now. He is sitting next to his Father until all his enemies are put under His feet.
His coming, is to gather his harvest.(the wheat).then stored.
And the ripe grapes, put through the wine press.
Then;He will set up His kingdom, and rule His kingdom with His resurrected saints.(a physical kingdom).
He will rule over the remnant of the jews, them that have been brought back by choice. Those jews will consist of all generations. They will be put in the kingdom, which is paradise to them; but a kingdom of Christ and His saints.
The saints will be kings and priests over them.
The jews will be taught of Christ. And the jews will teach the remnant of the gentiles outside the kingdom for a 1000years.
All gentiles will not be killed at the coming; there will be some remnants. And they also will multiply during the 1000years;
as the jews will. There will be no satan; just his angels, to tempt the gentiles. When the 1000years are expired; satan will be let loose from his prison; to gather the non believing gentiles to compass the camp of the saints. And God himself will destroy them; and satan and his angels.(the war of Gog).
Then comes the second resurrection, consisting of all the dead, of all generations to be judged by the books.
The sheep put on the right, and the goats on the left.
The sheep will also be changed; the goats cast in the fire.
Now all the wicked; satan and his angels are no more.
All chosen flesh are made spirit. All graves are empty.
Then comes the renewing of the earth. The earth will be purified by melting. All the saints will reside in heaven.
Then all the saints will come down to the new earth,
and God Himself will reside on earth.
We shall see him face to face.
