2002 – The dream
Around the year 2002, I received a very vivid dream in which New Zealand would be invaded by China in the year 2020. Since that time, I have hesitated to write it down and share it mainly because the such an event was too far fetched to be considered plausible. But it has bothered me over the years because the dream came in a similar fashion to other visions I have received that did come to pass.
Back in the the early 2000s, the idea that China would one day invade New Zealand would have been believed by no one. But since that time, the idea has become increasingly possible. Even today it is still a very far-fetched idea, but the possibility of such an event has significantly increased since the time I received the dream.
I will share the dream with you, but I will not tell you how to interpret it. Whether that be a literal interpretation or a symbolic one, I leave that to you.
It started with me walking down a street somewhere in New Zealand. But while I knew it was New Zealand, it looked nothing like it. The streets looked more like they belonged in Asia. I saw mostly Asians and the shop signs had some kind of Asian writing on them. Perhaps is was just a Chinatown which we really do not have on this scale, but it could have been a typical street in New Zealand in the 2030s, 40s, 50s? It was a very colourful scene with lots of lights and electronic signs. The shops in the scene were quite strange. They were very small and stacked upon each other with stairs and narrow corridors everywhere. While I was observing everything, I noticed some people carrying around these really large bottles of what appeared to be a drink of some kind, but they looked too big to carry comfortably, but nevertheless were being carried with ease. I was confused about what this was and cannot think what it could mean.
The dream then changed where I was looking back from the time in the vision and talking about an invasion that took place in the year 2020 which I assume explained what I saw in the dream. I remember saying to someone that it was amazing New Zealand was invaded by China in that year and how no one expected it.
The thing about this dream was its clarity. The detail was amazing. Because of this, it made an impression on me, but the problem was not the delivery of the message but the message itself. It was just too hard to believe and too controversial to even think about.
Since this dream, I have quietly contemplated it from time to time and whenever China was in the news regarding its relationship with New Zealand, I always took note. Below are some news stories that show a growing dependence on China and a growing threat. I also received a second dream in 2018 which is recorded below.
2011 – An earthquake might have revealed something about my dream
In 2010 and 2011, Christchurch in New Zealand suffered thousands of earthquakes including a 7.1 quake and a deadly 6.3 aftershock causing severe damage to this city and in particular the CBD. 185 people were killed and the city centre was closed down to clean up the mess with weak buildings also needing to be demolished. The clean up and rebuild took place, but in order to partly revitalize the CBD while the rebuild was taking place, a temporary shopping area was created from shipping containers called ReStart. I visited Christchurch two years after the deadly quake and visited this shopping area as it was the only place open for business in the CBD. I was struck by how much it reminded me of the dream I had. The shops were very colourful, stacked upon each other, with stairs going up to other shops or floors stacked on top. This looks very similar to part of the shopping area I saw in my dream. Could my dream have been in Christchurch or another city struck by an earthquake in the future?
2018 – A second dream
Some 16 or so years later, I asked God to confirm the dream because 2020 was fast approaching. I wanted to know if this dream had a purpose and if I was suppose to react in a particular way to it, like leave the country for example. I then received a second dream. In this dream, I saw a small flood of water come down one of the hills surrounding Wellington Harbour. Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand and it is built around a magnificent harbor which is hemmed in by steep hills. I asked what had happened because I could hear what sounded like explosions or gun fire and the reply I got was that the Chinese were blowing up dams. I wasn’t sure if the water was meant to be taken as literal water or was something symbolic.
After this dream, I asked God to confirm that both dreams were from him. My thinking is three is a good number to get confirmation of a message. I haven’t received a third dream as yet, but in the meantime, I am still trying to work out if the dreams are meant to be symbolic or not. Could it be a literal military invasion, symbolic of future immigration, economic dependency, or something else. I remain open to the meaning and I ask God if this message is also telling me that I should leave the country.
2019 – Another dream or not?
I am still awaiting a third confirmation regarding this. While waiting, my son tells me of a dream that alarmed him. I have mostly kept this all to myself, so when my son shares his dream without any reference to my dreams it uncannily fits with this narrative. He relates that himself and the rest of the family being executed before a firing squad from an enemy that invaded our country. He doesn’t know which country, but this could well relate to me wondering if this invasion is a really bad situation or not. If his dream is anything to go by, then yes is the answer. For now, I am still waiting on God for a third confirmation in the form of a delivered message, vision, or breaking news that points to this whole event becoming possible or likely and what to do about it.
2020 – A catastrophe made in China

So the year mentioned in the original dream has arrived and what is the big news of 2020 so far? Coronavirus which originated of all places in China. Could the dream be talking about this pandemic in some way even talking about an event triggered because of this pandemic?
On the 25 of March, New Zealand moved to a level 4 lock down, meaning that we are living as isolated as possible from one another. While this is a great time for families to reflect on the real meaning of life together over the next 4 weeks or longer, it is making me think about this dream with the two key points standing out prominently. One is the year 2020 and the other, China. For now, New Zealand is one of the safer places to be, but could my dream be saying otherwise?
Is this situation making us sitting ducks? Will this situation cause another situation that reflects what I saw in my dreams? Could New Zealand loan money from China during this difficult time leading to an enslavement to China through debt? Could the current regime fall or get tougher in response to this? Whatever happens, I hope God reveals to me what I should do by giving me a third vision.
Besides a possible military invasion of some kind, is my dream speaking of China invading my country with a virus. Could the second dream speak of a waterborne virus? Or it could be totally unrelated to that with China invading us slowly starting in 2020 through something like the 5G network that they want to roll out in New Zealand, leading to a digital takeover of our lives.
Time will reveal all, but for now, I am really hoping we get through this virus as unscathed as much as possible and life returns back to normal. That is my hope.

Another relevant subject is Hong Kong. It looks possible that the UK and Australia will take in millions of pro-democracy protestors from Hong Kong so they can escape persecution from the mainland. Could they bring Chinese culture and even Chinese leadership to New Zealand if we open our doors? Could China slip in spies and those loyal to the Communist Party to our shores among genuine freedom loving people? Who knows. Just one thought among many at this stage.
2022 – Could the Ukraine War embolden China?
If America has its hand full with dealing with the war in Ukraine, could China take this opportunity to invade Taiwan or other such action? We will see.
