Veteran Dies – This is What God Showed Him

Army Veteran and heart transplant survivor Brian Hoyland died from a massive heart attack, leaving a wife and two young children. As a believer in Jesus as his Lord, he found himself in the presence of Jesus, and what God told him would be striking to most of us, but to Brian it was deeply personal. God told him to “suffer joyfully”…

    Hi Irene,
I do not have any experience with feeling spirits in regards to a person's death. I have not lost someone really close to me yet though. I am not surprised by your experiences.

I do feel a lot of love from God when I am in close fellowship with Him. I think that we will be so amazed at how much more we will feel when we are actually face to face.

Did you have a chance to listen to

The bible is quite clear that people do in fact DIE, that they CEASE to exist.

The bible is also quite clear that NO ONE has ascended to heaven. That people such as Noah, Enoch, Abraham and Sarah have not yet received the promise of eternal life.

So what could explain then after death experiences where people swear they went to heaven? When a person dies at the end of their life there still exists several seconds of brain activity, and within that brain activity people CAN and DO DREAM, and though only a few seconds have gone by in real time, in a dream, days could go by. After-life experiences are not true experiences but DREAMS!

    Hi Jodi,
If folk cease to exist how can they be raised to Judgement?

What of the souls awaiting justification under the altar in Rev6-do they exist?

People CEASE from existing, meaning they STOP temporarily from existing until YHWH raises them again. Their LIVES stop from existing UNTIL the resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

There exists no scripture that says in Christ all shall have their immortal spirit re-united with a new body during the resurrection. A person goes from NOT being alive to being alive again. Truly this is not hard to understand.

    Hi Jodi,
So their souls reside in Sheol till the Judgement while those in Christ are in the mansions of Christ till the voice of the archangel.

Since the Spirit goes back to God, is that person aware of it or not? My Husband says No. I like others input on this, thank you.

    I'd say no too.

Once the electrical activity in your brain ceases, “you” will have ceased to function. That includes your sense of self awareness.

Inasmuch as “you” are a pattern of physical and electrical components, I don't think there's any theoretical reason you couldn't be resurrected later – provided something had captured that information at some point prior to it being lost (in death).

I personally would however view that as a copy of me, not the original me sitting here hoping the weather stays nice today (as you know I'm somewhat of a skeptic on the life after death thing anyway).

    Hi JN,
Demons do not currently die but pass from their human homes at death or when the Spirit of Jesus removes them.
They are aware of the history of their previous homes and can be communicated with.
They lie and pose as the person whom they knew and folks are so gullible

When the spirit is absent from the body, the body dies but the spirit continues to heaven or hell. I believe that the spirit is very aware of everything.

Is that truly what scripture tells us though?

Ecc 3:19 For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity.  20 All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust. 21 Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?

Ecc 12:5 Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets. 6 Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well. 7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.

Ps 146:4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

Psalms 115:17 The dead do not praise the Lord, Nor any who go down into silence.

Psalms 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?

Isaiah 38:18 For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

Genesis 4:9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?” 10 And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.”

God did not say, “What have you done Cain, for Abel’s body is dead and he is in heaven with me.”  No mention of a part of a person consciously existing with God when they die. Dust man is and dust he shall return.

Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

This is CRUCIAL, Abel does NOT SPEAK he is DEAD, but his righteousness does speak to us! Though Abel is dead, the life that he lived with faith unto God is KNOWN and it speaks to our minds.

Genesis 7:21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man. 22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. 23 So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.

Genesis 9:28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. 29 So all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.

Ge 25:8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people

Ge 49:29 Then he charged them and said to them: “I am to be gathered to my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

Man’s life exists by the breath of YHWH, our spirit exists through the breath of YHWH. When we die we take the last breath of life that comes from YHWH.

Noah DIED, and Abraham DIED, and what does scripture say about those who DIE, “in DEATH there is NO remembrance of You”, “the dead do not praise the Lord.”

Hebrews 11:39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
All these, referring to such people as Abel, Noah, and Abraham, are yet to receive the promise of eternal life.

Not once when a person dies does scripture ever say that a conscious part of them has separated from their body and if they are good they go immediately to heaven.

Joh 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

So HOW is it exactly that people preach when a person dies some part of them immediately goes to heaven?? So perplexing, how people will DENY clear cut scripture.

Not ONCE does scripture say that the resurrection is when an immortal part of man is reunited with his body.  That which people refer to as the soul or spirit is what constitutes the MIND, the mind is made up of MATTER, it is a function within the brain. When the body dies, so does the brain, and when the brain dies so does the spirit.

Let’s think about this. Scripture never mentions anything about people being in heaven right now,  actually we are told the opposite, that no one has ascended to heaven. The bible teaches the resurrection and the kingdom of heaven, or also known as the Kingdom of God, which is specifically said to be ON EARTH. When a person dies it is said that they are sleeping the sleep of death. So if you think about it, for the dead, going from the point of the end of their life to the point of their resurrection is instantaneous for them. Though it could be thousands of years, to a few days, they would not be able to tell, they would not know the difference. They go from this life directly to the resurrection!! Now that’s something to think about!!

    Hi LU,
The spark of life, the human spirit, returns to God Who gave it no matter how the person has lived.[Ecc12]

The Soul, which is sometimes as spirit, has an abode in sheol [hades]or the mansions of Christ till the resurrection.
