Does Hillary Clinton have Parkinson’s or some other illness?

God does indeed place leaders but that doesn’t mean that he places every leader. Read the following in Daniel 4:17:

“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones; to the intent that the living may know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.”

Daniel 5:21
“And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild *; they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the Most High God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that He appointeth over it whomsoever he will.”

God doesn’t appoint every leader and ruler however. See Hosea 8:4

“They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, and I knew it not; of their silver and gold have they made them idols that they may be cut off.”

People can elect and remove leaders without consulting God. It is here that I guess Satan has influence over who rules. I would also hazard a guess that this is way more common than people listening to God on who should be appointed. But God also hears the prayers of his people and we know that if a nation repents then it can be healed. It is possible that Christians in America have prayed fervently about this and God has heard their prayer and has appointed a leader to rule.

My personal view is simply this. If Hillary gets in, then the decline of America will be great. If Trump gets in, then it will be less, perhaps might even stop for a time. But I believe that eventually, America will lose its standing in the world regardless. Appointing the right leader can slow the decline and that could give America more time.

I remember reading somewhere that Nineveh repented because of Jonah’s preaching. But they were eventually judged, so it was only delayed. I doubt there has ever been a nation, kingdom, empire, or civilization  that have always repented or always elect the right people to reign over them.

You are basically saying that this is ludicrous.

“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones; to the intent that the living may know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.”

So this scripture must be false to you then.

So God didn’t choose David to be King?

So he picked David and perhaps others, but since Christ has not picked leaders anymore?

Where does it say that God no longer raises up leaders of nations since the time of Christ?

It certainly is NOT saying that Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
