How does the enemy lessen the impact of the Church? He does it by dividing the Church. It is a divide and conquer strategy, although he will never actually prevail against the Church.
He has a system of divisions that compartmentalizes God’s people so that they cannot have a Church wide impact, rather a smaller impact. Until we as believers truly realize how to be one with God. Jesus, and each other, we will remain imprisoned in quadrants that were never meant to be. While in that state, the world will find it difficult to see that Jesus came from God because of this lack of oneness.
Unlike the enemy who implores this strategy to cap the power that Jesus has invested in the Church, God also compartmentalizes people but for a different reason. He does it to lessen the iniquity of people. The most famous example is Babylon where God divided the people by language due to the building of the Tower of Babel. So who has divided the Church?
