Even demons believe he is the son of God

Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah…

He is the Word of Life

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life. And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.…

He was sent to us

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

The firstborn of all creation and all things created through him

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

He is back from whence he came

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

Here is the timeline

I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

Here is the promise

The Word of God who was with God in the beginning became flesh. He became on of us so we could be like him.

But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and we are sons of God

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. 10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

    Hi Oxy,
Is Jesus the only begotten Son of God who was sent into the world[1Jn 4.9] or did he only become the Son when he was conceived in Mary?

How was Jesus begotten before the World or creation for that matter? Did the Father beget Jesus in Himself? Wasn't Jesus the first created spirit being?

Rev 3:14 And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:

    Hi kenrch,
How is not exactly revealed but nowhere does it say Jesus was created.
All creation came through him,it does say, so that excludes him being created.

Who is the beginning of creation (Rev. 3:14)?  Are you are saying that doesn't mean that Jesus wasn't created.  How so?

    Hi kenrch,
Because that is not what it says
and as every fact is confirmed in the mouth of two or three witnesses[2Cor 13]
and there are no other verses suggesting this
then it is unlikely to be true.

Scripture is not true?  What scripture says that Jesus was “begotten” before creation?

    Hi kenrch
    “Scripture is not true?”

    Scripture is always true
but you can read into it
    more than it actually says.

Unless anyone has anything then I guess I'll stick with scripture.

Rev 3:14 And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the “beginning of the creation of God”:

    Hi Kenrch,
He is the one through whom all God's creation was brought into being.
He was the starting point for creation.

Scripture says that He is the “beginning of creation”.

    G746
    ἀρχή
    archē
    ar-khay'
From G756; (properly abstract) a commencement, or (concrete) chief (in various applications of order, time, place or rank): – beginning, corner, (at the, the) first (estate), magistrate, power, principality, principle, rule.

Beginning means beginning. Beginning of what? Creation!

    I need scripture Nick, please.

Are there any scriptures that say Jesus was begotten before creation? I don't guess there is I believe I asked this question before.

Again if there are none then I don't see your point.

Rev. 3:14 says The Beginning of Creation. Where does it say begotten before creation?

    Hi kenrch,
The only begotten Son was sent into the world[1jn 4.9].
Ps 2 seems to describe his begettal,
is quoted in Heb 1 and that is before
he was “brought into the world”

    Hi,
One of the he most important truths found in the scriptures is that

JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD

Men find myriads of ways to deny the Master.

    Do not join them.

Ah! now we are getting somewhere. Now I can see

Heb 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?

and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?

Sure seems right to me! But what do we do with Rev. 3:14?

    Hey Nick,

    Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show unto his servants, even the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John;

Rev 3:13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
Rev 3:14 And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:

Is this Jesus or His angel?

Rev 1:1 Jesus gives the Rev that God gave Him to His abgel to give to John.

    Hi kenrch,
Ponder awile on Rev 3 14.
Revelation contains quotes from the four contributors and you need to discern who is speaking when.

    Hi typsrn,
    You said
'So God who is a Spirit had a Son who is also a Spirit?”

Why do you find it difficult to accept God has begotten a son,
as in Ps 2, and shown in Prov 30,
and He sent this Son into the world[1Jn 4.9],
that God is spirit, so is a being without a visible body,
and the Son is His image so would be similar?

    What is confusing you?

    OK kenrch,
One shaky witness will not win a case. Can you find two more?
