That was a good and clear explanation of the son of God,but failed to address; who the Word of God was before His birth.
He was not the Son of God before His birth.
    Before He was made flesh.
The Word was with God and the Word was God.
    We need more detail.

God has many names, not just one;His name is also the Lord of host.
I am that I am. The most high God.The redeemer.
It is fine to just call Him God,but must see the context of scripture.
If we address Him as God;he knows that it is Him we are speaking to,not some other god.
If a pagan prays to god;it would be their god.

Jesus was and is the Word of God. Obviously the lack of detail stems from the Bible’s lack of detail. I do not want to speculate, but stuck to what was revealed in scripture. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The son of God, the glory of God.

With deep understanding one can know the true Jesus.
It is obvious that the scriptures does not reveal it liberally.
    Because it is a mystery.
Just look at it this way.

The Holy bible is the Word of God;the spirit is in the words.
Jesus is the Word of God.
    God spoke through Jesus.
God speaks through the Holy bible.
    Through Jesus we have life.
Through seeking the bible we have life.
No one can come to the father but by Jesus.
No one can know God but by seeking the scriptures.
Now put them all together and what do you see?

    wakeup.

    Hi Peter.

    I hope you are humble.

You have been told/taught that you are born again. But it’s not true.
When you are truly born again;you are in spirit form. But you are still flesh.
You should have said; I had the renewing of the mind.
You are a new creature spiritually. You have come out of Babylon.
You have entered into the city of God which is spiritual Zion.
You dont do the things you use to do.
You dont think you use to think.

One must reach the finish line before receiving the reward.
One must cross the turbulent waters, and reach dry ground before he can say ;I am saved.

You say you are a new christian, that means ;you have just entered the door of salvation. Behind that door is a narrow path to follow.
During your walk, there will be many great temptations to resist.
Seek the scriptures and you shall find. For it is life.

One is born again when our Mother Zion gives birth to all her cildren,
at the resurrection: at the seond coming.

    wakeup.

I believe that Jesus as the Son, exists in a place of equality with the Father…He is with God – He is God…(one in complete unity)

This is certainly how the Jews understood the aspect of Jesus calling Himself ‘Son’, “For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

If this place of equality with the Father, was the place Christ descended from, when He became man (as Philippians tells us – and John confirms)..then would it make any sense that, now – at the right hand of the Father – He has been exalted to some lesser place than He had in the beginning with God (as God)…???

The Father and Son are two that are always linked together in Scripture as one – those that attack the trinity belief always emphasize their (Father/Son) individuality (which trinitarians already acknowledge), but ignore the true nature of their unity (which Arians deny)…

John 17:3 is a clear example of how some try to deny the Divinity of Jesus, pointing to the fact that Christ is here proclaiming God to be the only God, emphasizing His separateness to the Son..yet, if you look at this verse in the context of unity you see that eternal life is in BOTH Father and Son… NOT just God the Father alone, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” – confirming the equality of Son to the Father..

Who is Jesus..?  He is the Son, yes…but as the Son He dwells with God, as God…”I and the Father are one.”

    Hi davidl,

So you agree with the folly of the carnal pharisees?

Have you learned nothing more than them?

    Hi davidl,

On the basis of their false beliefs the Pharisees arranged the murder of Jesus.

But you feel it is OK to align with them?

    Hiu davidl,

Would you cry out with the heathen who saw God do miracles through Paul.

“The gods have come to earth in human form”?

Do you realise how primitive such faith is?

    Hi DavidL

    You wrote:

This is good development here as this is not trinitarian belief, they do not believe the two are one in unity as we have all said here, trinitarians believe that they are literally 3 in 1, if you simply believed that Jesus was one with God as far as unity, you could then understand that Jesus is not God but instead a man of God. now regarding equality we have a problem there as well being that Jesus says “The Father is greater than I”, how can “greater” be considered equal?

When this is brought up it is said The Father is greater as far as roles but not in essence so at this point I ask what is this essence that they are equal is it simply that God is a spirit and your claim is that Jesus was a spirit before coming to earth if so that would be correct that he had the same essence but so do the angels and demons they are all spirits, So “God” must mean something else, to be called the ONLY TRUE GOD must mean something else, something that even Jesus separates himself from. Jesus considers himself subservient to his father which would mean that his father is The Most High and isn’t that what really God is? The Most High:

    Psalm 57:2
I will cry unto God Most High, unto God that performeth all things for me.

    John 14:10
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself; but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.

So who is The Most High, is it Jesus or his Father?

    HI davidl,

God did miracles through Paul and the apostles and prophets.

DID GOD ALSO DO MIRACLES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST?

    Hi Davidl,

Who did the miracles that Jesus performed?

    Acts2

    .22

“…Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and signs, WHICH GOD DID BY HIM in the midst of you..

“You are so slow to listen to the scripture you claim to love.

    Hi davidl,

If God did the works through Jesus as with the prophets before him what reason do you have for making him another god?

I have quoted Jesus, “I and the Father are one.” – when have I said He is another god?

If you are not born of the Spirit, you will forever remain trapped within the confines of your human logic.. just like those old Jews… stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, who, as Stephen testified, were always resisting the Holy Spirit; doing just as their fathers did – they crucified the very Prince of Life… in the name of their dead religious doctrines.

You can only compare Christ with the apostles or prophets (or Adam) if your eyes have not been enlightened by the Spirit.

His name is far above all names – don’t you know that..?

    Hi davidl,

And Jesus prayed that we also would be one with himself and the Father.

That does not make us God so what is the point you are making?

The spirit you claim to have needs testing

This is good development here as this is not trinitarian belief,

I believe Scripture portrays the Holy Spirit and the Son in perfect unity with the Father as one with God (a Tri – unity) One God – not three…you can decide if that’s trinitarian enough for you…yet if you want to examine that unity or perfect oneness (the essence of Divine Love), we must allow the Spirit to open our understanding of Scripture, as all attempts to define God without the Spirit are futile, whether trinitarian or otherwise..

if you simply believed that Jesus was one with God as far as unity, you could then understand that Jesus is not God but instead a man of God

No, the unity I speak of is really beyond mere outward agreement – it’s intimate knowing with absolute trust and total devotion till death… (something our self-centered humanity doesn’t grasp too well), but we get glimpses in Scripture – like Ruth…”where you go I will go…” etc,  …Jesus was not just another man of God – He came from God, as John declares… He was with God – He was God (complete unity with the Father)… one God – yet God is not singular, as Genesis shows when God Himself states, “Let us make man in our image…”

to be called the ONLY TRUE GOD must mean something else, something that even Jesus separates himself from. Jesus considers himself subservient to his father which would mean that his father is The Most High and isn’t that what really God is? The Most High:

    Psalm 57:2
I will cry unto God Most High, unto God that performeth all things for me.

Who is Jesus in comparison to the Father… ?

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” – Matt. 28:18

“All things have been committed to Me by My Father.” – Matt. 11:27

“The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.” – John 3:31

“The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.” – John 3:35

“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name.” – Philippians 2:9

“Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.” – Ephesians 1:21

“..who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand – with angels, authorities and powers in submission to Him.” – 1 Peter 3:22

“but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe.” – Hebrews 1:2

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” – Hebrews 1:3

“And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, ‘AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM.'” – Hebrews 1:6

“And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began.” – John 17:5

But of the Son He says, “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.…” – Hebrews 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Rev. 1:8

Can we not see the revelation Thomas received of the risen Christ – how fitting and right it is to declare of Him…my Lord and my God..!!

…and how lame and degrading to place Jesus Christ in the position of simply being another ‘man of God’ through whom God spoke…!!?

He is not God the Father – yet He is God, and there are not two…so how do you work that out..?

    – He was with God…He was God..(revelation).
