Dr. Theodore Cabal answers a difficult question about God commanding the death of some people in Old Testament times.
I would like to add my 2 cents worth to this topic too. I believe that God is merciful and sometimes mercy requires harsh judgement to stop injustices from happening now and into the future. God is a gardener who sometimes prunes branches from the human vine to stop unfruitful branches from fruit struggling to grow on unfruitful branches. Pruning a vine is good for the whole tree as it produces more fruitful branches. It’s no different to weeding a garden. If it is not tended correctly, weeds will take over.
