Psalms 74:9 We see no signs, there is no more any prophets, neither is any among us who knows how long.

There has not been another real Prophet since Jesus and the Apostles.  There are a few who prophecy over individuals, but none over nations or world events.

So Kim C, was not from God and to even listen to him is a mistake, as we DO have all the information about Gods Plans for our future in our Bibles.

    Read and understand it!

Interesting. Where is the verse that says the 5 fold ministry ended?

    11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

And does this mean you believe we have all come into the unity of the faith?

Proclaimer; I never said or implied that our work has ended.

We must continue until He comes. Matthew 28:10-20

That we have no real Prophets now, is evidenced by the wild and failed pronouncements by people like Kim C.   And as about a quarter of our Bibles is prophecy, most unfulfilled as yet; why do we need them?

You say that there are no prophets today or in modern times, yet you agree with this scripture?

It basically says this to you:

And he gave some prophets for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

Now think about your words and Paul’s word. You are at odds.

What are you going to do about you being on the wrong side of scripture?

Ephesians 4:11-13, does not refer to prophesies about future events.

Paul is saying there are many ways we Christians can serve each other and those who have a prophetic word to individuals, can be very helpful to them; for their work and service.

BUT; none of those prophets can speak the truths of soon to happen end times events. Only the Bible prophets could do that.  Proved by how todays self called ‘prophets’ are invariably wrong.

I view your accusations against me, for promoting the Prophetic Word,  as rude and un called for.

Isn’t this an example of a New Testament early church prophet speaking a prophecy of a world wide event??

    Acts 11:27-30

27Now at this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28One of them, named Agabus, stood up and indicated by the Spirit that there would definitely be a severe famine all over the world. And this took place in the reign of Claudius. 29And to the extent that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brothers and sisters living in Judea. 30And they did this, sending it with Barnabas and Saul to the elders.

    ‘And he gave some …prophets’.

    But you say:

    ‘He made some people prophecy’.

So I am not buying your teaching here because the verse is talking about prophets, not prophesying as such.

Prophets exist today and we are not yet all in perfect unity. So they remain till then,

The Bible Prophets do not contradict one another. Their Word is truth and they cover all the end times perfectly well. We don’t need any modern prophets for the forthcoming end times.

I put all those who do claim to be prophets since the first century, as sent by Satan. Believe them at you peril.

    Hi Keras,

What about the early church prophet  and his prophecy of a world event in Acts 11:27-30?

That seems to contradict your above post where you claim this:

There has not been another real Prophet since Jesus and the Apostles.  There are a few who prophecy over individuals, but none over nations or world events.

None of the Early Church Fathers were prophets. They never claimed to be, they just ‘interpreted’ the Bible, in the light of their times. Which is what people still do up until today and all have been wrong.

Proved by Daniel 12:4 & 9; the Prophesies are sealed until the time of the end.

    Keras,

    Read this:

    Acts 11:27-30

27Now at this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28One of them, named Agabus, stood up and indicated by the Spirit that there would definitely be a severe famine all over the world. This was about “some prophets” and specifically one that prophesied about a coming famine. This happened after Jesus rose from the dead. This was during early church times. This passage proves you to be in error. Agabus was an early church prophet and he was with other prophets.

Agabus prophesied about an event in his time.  In the first Century.

Do you deny Daniel 12:4 an 9?

Anyway was Kim Clement really a Prophet? Were all his predictions accurate?  Also there is Matthew 11:25, where Jesus says the understanding of the so called wise and learned people will be lost.  We can easily see this is how it is by the proliferation of theories and ideas about the end times.

ONLY the Bible has the true story of what God has planned for the soon to commence events that will happen at the end of this age.

    keras,

What “end time events” do you claim that Kim C. prophesied about? From what I have heard from him, he was prophesying about events in the future but not distant end time events. Also, what do you think he said that was false?

Regarding Daniel 12:4,9…that is about the end times and I do not deny that.

Kim C did not give end time prophesies that I am aware of. I personally believe the gift of prophecy is alive and well. I also believe that there are plenty of false prophets. Those who prophecy about upcoming worldwide events that people see come to fulfillment, can really encourage the believers and can also get the attention of the unbelievers. One thing about prophecies, some things are figurative and not meant literal.
