Donald Trump talks about God

Donald Trump

“No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
In his address to the Values Voters Summit, Donald J. Trump shared 1 John 4:12.

As believers we should pray for Trump. See 1 Timothy 2

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

They do not understand the meaning of the end-times prophecy, particularly Daniel 2 and 7

Do you? They are speaking of the same thing; christianity has twisted the end of chapter 7 to fit a “returning the Jesus” narrative. Concerning Revelation, still waiting for an explanation of what it means for something to happen “soon” as the Jesus states in chapter one and twenty-two. Revelation already happened! Or explain chapter 11 where John is measuring the Temple and excluding the gentile court.

Therefore, they follow false prophets who tell them things that lead them astray from what God wants them to know for their salvation.

A little ironic saying that when you follow the words and writings of Ellen White, treating them as if they are scripture; even though most of what she said never happened or will ever happen (Deut 18:21-22).

Verify everything! IS IT TRUTH?!?! If not, RUN FROM IT! It’s NOT from G-d!

As far as Trump being chosen by G-d; last I checked G-d wasn’t running the voting machines…man chose Trump.

As far as Trump being chosen by G-d; last I checked G-d wasn’t running the voting machines…man chose Trump.

    He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
    and knowledge to the discerning.

There’s a difference between what Daniel 2:21 says and saying that Trump is some kind of “Cyrus”.

No one is arguing that Trump is King Cyrus reincarnated. It goes without question that there will be differences.

Donald Trump Praises Christianity’s “Tremendous” Comeback

On May 19, 2026—two days after the “Rededicate 250” event in Washington, D.C.—President Donald Trump announced during a press briefing that religion had increased during the first year of his second presidential term. He also asserted that Christianity is experiencing a “tremendous resurgence.” President Trump claimed that our country was built by religion and founded upon it and declared that, when there is strong religion, there is less crime.

Donald Trump’s full remarks were as follows:

    • “I think religion is very important for our country. I think having religion, this country was built largely on religion. If you look, it was built. And when you have strong religion, you have less crime. It’s just the fact, you know, whatever it may be, it’s like, gee, I want to go to heaven, so I’m not going to do this and that. Who knows? But we have a country that was based on religion, and I’m very proud of that.” (Video)

    • “And if you look and you see all of the polling, I mean, polling is so fake, but on this it’s not fake. Religion is really going up in the last year. And during that time, I mean, really during the time I first got elected in 2016, it was a much different thing. I’m very proud of that.” (Video)

    • “Uh, religion is a good thing. Christianity is a great thing for our country. I mean, so many of the things that we’ve done, the successes that we’ve had, have been based on Christianity and religion. So I’m very proud of that.” (Video)

    • “Uh, religion is taking off like our country is taking off. Our country is hotter now than it’s ever been. And I’ll tell you, religion is making a tremendous comeback. You look at churches today; they’re full. You go back to three years. Nobody was going. So we’re very happy with that.” (Video)
Trump’s statements are significant because they reveal the growing belief that national prosperity depends upon a revival of religion in public life. Scripture warns that in the last days there will be a revival of a form of faith within civil power to preserve society and restore national greatness. Revelation 13 describes the union of religious influence with political authority to support and enforce the doctrines of the church.

When the President of the United States begins presenting religion as the solution to America’s problems, we must recognize that the stage is being set for a closer union between church and state. These remarks came only two days after the “Rededicate 250” event in Washington, D.C., where political figures, clergy, and religious influencers openly called for national revival, spiritual renewal, and a return to God as the hope for America’s future. President Trump’s repeated claims that America was “built on religion” and that stronger religion produces less crime are part of a growing Christian nationalist philosophy that seeks to preserve faith through the power and influence of the state.

Unfortunately, government-sponsored religion has never produced genuine righteousness. True Christianity cannot be legislated, enforced, or revived through political movements. Across the political and religious worlds, there are growing calls for America to return to its Christian roots. Tragically, the revival being promoted today is largely ecumenical and nationalistic rather than biblically grounded in truth. These modern revival movements often emphasize unity, patriotism, and the “common good” while avoiding the distinctive biblical truths concerning the commandments of God, the everlasting gospel, the true biblical Sabbath, the mark of the beast, Babylon, and the warning against false worship.

A revival that unites Catholics, Protestants, political leaders, and civil institutions around a national religious worship service on Sunday may produce enthusiasm and outward display, but it does not lead people to obedience to all of God’s commandments. Bible prophecy warns that in the last days the United States will eventually speak “as a dragon” (Revelation 13:11), using its power to support and enforce apostate religious agendas. As these developments continue, God’s people are called to remain faithful to Scripture, uphold liberty of conscience, proclaim the everlasting gospel, and warn the world that true revival is not found in political religion or nationalistic Christianity but in Jesus Christ and obedience to His commandments.
