nick, I think the background on that scripture you have mentioned on whether or not a spirit confesses whether Jesus Christ is come in the flesh..has had alot to do with (if not all) the many winds blowing back then. It is still alive and well today. Mainly gnosticism, but eastern religions which are known to have influenced Plato's writings, were…[Read more]

Although I'm accused of trying to make God in my image and likeness, I do take the word of God that I am made in his image of likeness. Or, like unto him..who is ever holier and higher..notwithstanding, he has given me a kind of premise to work with.We know that, 'In the beginning God created the heavens and earth'. The, 'by whom also he made the…[Read more]

There are really quite a bit of varibles when trying to discern accurate truth. Christ as 'him', in the O.T. I think is really cloaked in all manifestations of God. He is the 'Rock that followed them', the donkey speaking to Balamm, the pillar of fire by night, the cloud by day..Arron's rod that budded, the burning bush etc.Was this also Jesus? In…[Read more]

nick, I forget where it is you might stand concerning the ..what?? ..triune nature of God? Are you advocating that God the Father and his Son as two individual beings both existed before creation? In meditating the scriptures, it engages my imagination.”4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent…[Read more]

well, were about to go in circles, so..there is no question that the Word became flesh. If it was from the womb, why was there no recorded miracles by the Anointed One (Christ) prior to his baptism? It was only after this time that Jesus the Christ first began preaching saying, Repent for the kingdom of God is come. Why not anytime earlier? Only…[Read more]

Jesus as the Christ said, 'I came forth out from the Father. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Thou shalt live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Word that was with God and was God came out of the mouth of God…'and there was light'.

yet not only was the Word 'with' God, the Word 'was' God. Hear oh Isreal..

If we are made in the image of God and in the likeness of God, albeit God is infinite in scope, and we finite..then there is a kind of reflection going on here.

well, theologians been at this for quite some spell. let's pose the question. when the Word became flesh, was it at Jesus' birth or at the baptism in Jordan? If John the baptist bore witness to that light, which was the Word, the Christ, by whom all things were made, did John bear witness at Jesus' birth? Is this when the Word became flesh? In…[Read more]

Oxy, yes I agree, Jesus was born a holy seed and as a Son of God. But in my mind anyway, not as the Word or Christ (anointed) of God. At least not til his 30th year and the Anointed one descended upon him, of which, in keeping in step with the scriptures..John the baptist bore witness. So the calling on his life was there, as he grew in knowledge…[Read more]

Hi all, my first post here since I've thought about this subject fairly extensively. Here's my take..Christ is the Word that was in the beginning with God (residing in the bosom of God) and proceeded forth from the mouth of God as the active creative force of all creation. 'He is before all things and by him all things consist'. Jesus is the Son…[Read more]
