He also said, “Before Abraham was, I Am”

So I guess you are saying that God cannot preserve his word.

Nick,I guess the angels, Thomas, and most of Christianity are guilty of Idoltry. The angels worshipped Jesus.( Hebrews 1:6) and Thomas worshipped Jesus (John 20:28)

Hi NickIt is in the KJV. One of the oldest (1611) and the most sold Bibles ever. I'm pretty sure it should be in there as God's word. God said he would preserve his word. If the King James wasn't written from some of the original manuscripts, what makes you think these newer versions were taken from the orginal manuscripts.

Hi Nick,I know the body of Christ is not a denomination. No one is saved whether they are AOG, UPCI, Jehova Witness, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Mormon, etc etc. Galatians 5:26 says, ” For you are all the Children of God by faith in Christ Jesus”

1 John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” Another scripture that works hand in hand with John 1:1.

Nick,Yes, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I never said he wasn't. But the word also says that he is the true God and eternal lifel. I can't disprove what the Bible has spelled out for us in plain english.

The word says that God sent forth his son born of a woman born under the law. But it also says in 1 John 5:20 that he is the true God and eternal life. No interpretation needed. That is what 1 John 5:20. You can debate it all you want, but that is Just what it says.

Are you saying the scriptures that I just gave you are false? 1 John 5:20 doesn't just say he is eternal life. It says he is the True God. Even Thomas declared “my Lord and my God”. Thomas declared Jesus as God. This is why John 1:1 says “and the word was God.” I'm not saying any scripture is false. The Bible says, ” Thy word is truth”

I currently go to First UPC of San Antonio. I am stuggling with the Oneness doctrine though. Still believe in Baptism in Jesus Name. Believe in healing. I've been healed by the Lord several times.

It has significance. The Bible says that the word was God. John 1:1. Then 1 John 5:20 goes on to say Jesus is the true God and eternal life. It doesn't say he is a God and eternal life. It says he is the true God and eternal life.

1 John 5:21 says that he is the true God.”And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.”

gsilva72 replied to the topic The word was god… john 1:1, what does this mean in the forum Scriptural Teachings 15 years, 4 months ago
Sounds like Christ pre-exsisted. Otherwise how could Jesus make this claim? “Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.” John 6:46 How could Jesus have seen the Father without pre-existing?

Hi Samuel, I know that some oneness people are prideful and self-righteous. I sense that Spirit in the Church. We must pray for them. Not that I've never become prideful either, because I have at times. But the Lord always humbles me! I thank God for that. I always pray that I may be humble and not prideful. But just because I'm far fro…[Read more]

Hi Nick,Quote” Jesus is your appointed Lord and the Father is your God.” So the Father is not my Lord either? Didn't my heavenly Father create me? Show me how I am getting confused with words? I know that the word says there is only one Lord. It sounds like you are presenting to me 2 Lords. I'm just trying to understand your point of view. By the…[Read more]
