Quote (Is 1:18 @ May 17 2008,11:08)I guess the questions being begged then are – is it the Spirit where the individual's centre of consciousness exists, is it where their identity and personality comes from? Are spirits even unique to the individual, or is it universal to the kind or being. I personally don't have a problem accepting Yeshua and…[Read more]

Quote:”The Word was a Spirit being the Son of God,”Hi Seek and you will find,How could he be a spirit being with the Father when John 4:24 says, ” God is a Spirit? I'd like to know, because we can't have the Father as a spirit, the Son as a Spirit, and the Holy Spirit as the spirit. That equals 3 spirits. That is not what John 4:24 says.  :)

Quote (Gene Balthrop @ May 16 2008,05:01)gsilva…….the alpha and omega of what, I contend it means the first and last of God creation of man into his Image, Jesus was the first, to achieve it, and the last will be just like Him. He is how it begins and ends with us all. The absolute example to us.Most people think that refers to all things but…[Read more]

Still doesn't jive. Jesus said I am the alpha and the omega. If he was just an idea or a thought, he certainly isn't the alpha.:)

Not 3in 1,Would be a good idea, except it goes on to say that all things were made by him, and without him nothing was made that was made.???

Hi all, John 1In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him, and without him nothing was made that was made.If Jesus didn't exsist before, how were all things made by him. If he were not God, yes, he didn't exsist before. Oneness believers believe…[Read more]

Welcome back Mandy, 1 Corinthians 15:28  “Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. This does not mean Jesus is no longer God. It means Christ has defeated sin and those who belonged to Christ were reconciled back to God. But Christ is…[Read more]

I have everything in common with him. He is my Lord and savior. And has Thomas said, ” My Lord and my God! Just another scripture to ponder. Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” :)

Gene/Timothy IV- You are wrong to say that there is no difference between us and Jesus. You see, we had earthly fathers. Jesus did not. Jesus had no sin. But David said, I was born in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. If he was not God, he could not saved us from our sins, much less forgive sins. Once again, if the Greek didn't have…[Read more]

T8- If I found Christ while in solitary confinement for 5 years and I'd never read the Bible and the only thing in my cell was a bible, after I read it, would I believe in the Trinity or Oneness doctrines? No!What I would know is that Jesus died for my sin and that he is the Son of God. I would also learn that he is also God because scriptures…[Read more]

T8- A donkey has the nature of a donkey, not of God! I pulled this from the heaven.net site. In the beginning was the woman,b) and the woman was with the man c) and the woman was man. With the above being said, the web site claimed that this was talking about Jesus having God's nature. This being said from this web site, we can say that the women…[Read more]

It must matter, otherwise if it didn't, then why take the time to distinguish between “g” and “G”? If it doesn't matter, then everything should either be written as “g” or “G” whether refering to God or god.???

Gene- I'd believe that, except everytime Jesus is refered to as “God” it is with a “G” not a “g”. If Jesus were just a demi-god the word “God” would be with a “g” everytime it was refered to Jesus. I have to go by what the scripture says. you can't just read the text for what it says. You have to look how certain letters are written. ie “G” or “g”…[Read more]

I agree with Philippians 2:5 fully. This is why Jesus is still God, yet not equal with the Father. 1 Corinthians 11:3 says” But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” Colossian 1:15 declares “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every…[Read more]

Water baptism is not optional either as some believe, hence Acts 10:48 “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.”:)

I still believe it is in the name of Jesus. It's kind of like when a wife takes on the last name of the husband. Also Acts 4:12(NKJV) declares ” Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
