Quote And I never said it was “in” you. And when Jesus said the the kingdom was in the midst or “in” as some translators render it, the pharisees and scribes, he meant that the king of that kingdom was in their midst, as he was that king. I disagree David, It means in you and in me, IN ALL
ECC 12:7 describes it
“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”November 5, 2006 at 1:34 am#31750TJStarfireParticipantOnce you are to the point where you can stand at the door and Knock the Spirit will communacate with you. There is no mistaking it.
November 5, 2006 at 1:20 am#31749TJStarfireParticipantQuote ” It” is not within us until reborn into us. if it is not within us then how would we give up the ghost at death or how would the spirit return to GOD when the body turns to dust?
Are you even paying attention to what you are writing down here?
November 4, 2006 at 2:38 pm#31714TJStarfireParticipantDoes anyone know what the gospels are?
The gospels at the time of Christ did not include any writings of the disciples did they?November 4, 2006 at 2:34 pm#31712TJStarfireParticipant144000 JWs?
I've heard of the 144000 who have never known woman but how do they get to be from any one sect?November 4, 2006 at 2:10 pm#31711TJStarfireParticipantQuote Science fiction? WOW, the whole Bible teaches the theory of worshiping a super natural lord of the spirits.
Science Fiction?
Well that is a stance that most scientists agree with, they say the Bible is Fiction but I didn’t expect that from you.Numbers 27:16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation
Moses believed in a GOD of the spirits and that all flesh has a spirit attached to it.That brings up a couple of more Biblical questions.
The FIRST being How do you expect we will enter into the spiritual realm since, as the Bible points out, physical bodies return to dust and only the spirit returns to GOD?Second, We are told that we must stand at a door and knock.
What is in every person which could be considered a doorway between the physical realm and the realm of the super natural?Well maybe three,
What is meant by blasphemy or speaking against a Holy Ghost?Matt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.November 4, 2006 at 4:33 am#31683TJStarfireParticipantQuote The spirit of a man returns to God at death. Ecc12
” 6Remember Him before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is crushed, the pitcher by the well is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed;7then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it”
Yes of course it does and our conciousness can be born again into that spirit. If we are born again before the death of the flesh we will not see death but rather go straight before the maker in our spirit form.
November 4, 2006 at 4:22 am#31682TJStarfireParticipantQuote Matthew 16:28
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.I believe here Christ is using a different meaning of “alive” in the same way as he spoke of Abraham being alive, not physically but in soul and inheritance.
I believe that some there transferred their consciousness into their spirit body and passed straight into Heaven without seeing death.Science has already shown that consciousness can perceive the world from outside our bodies through stimulating Angular Gyrus part of the brain.

Although, being scientists and all, I am sure they don't realize what it is they are touching on,yet.November 4, 2006 at 4:05 am#31679TJStarfireParticipantQuote 16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”
I believe there is a lot of that going around, I know a lot of people who claim to be Christians but they refuse to believe in a Ghost being good.Quote Matt 22″ 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Meaning not the GOD of the flesh but rather the of Spirit (that part of us that cannot die)
November 4, 2006 at 1:34 am#31661TJStarfireParticipantI don't like thinking the book is full of lies that have to depend on rewording to bring out truths
November 4, 2006 at 1:32 am#31660TJStarfireParticipantOK, but I would rather follow a theory that makes sense of what is there without re wording everything to fit my wishes
November 4, 2006 at 1:09 am#31658TJStarfireParticipantQuote Now looking at Jn 11
John 11:26
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?Yes I believe this and I know how it is a truth as I pointed out a couple of posts back the claim is
“shall never die” and “shall not see death”
so how can you explain that as a truth (without changing words) or saying they mean something else?November 3, 2006 at 9:58 pm#31650TJStarfireParticipantQuote Those who are alive in Christ when Christ returns will NEVER see death. Isn't that adding words that aren't there
November 3, 2006 at 9:16 pm#31644TJStarfireParticipantJohn 8:51Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
That was a long time ago Nick, so how is this a truth?
November 3, 2006 at 9:11 pm#31643TJStarfireParticipantThe power of reason would then surmise that any person who supports the use of violence against any man turns their back on salvation.
November 3, 2006 at 9:04 pm#31641TJStarfireParticipantI have another question David
We are told that for a soldier to be saved he must do violence to no man. SO,
How can a true follower of Christ go to war?November 3, 2006 at 8:55 pm#31639TJStarfireParticipantOR unless we can transfer into our spirit body (be born again)
Tell me this then how is it that some will not see death?
November 3, 2006 at 8:35 pm#31636TJStarfireParticipantQuote So God is a spirit being-Soul and spirit. We can share in that Spirit and become one with each other and with God in Christ. In a way. I have come to believe that, (in the simple version)
In our beginning God formed us out of the dust of the Earth He then breathed into us the breath of life attaching a part of Himself to our bodies (sort of an ameba like split) when we procreate our two pieces of GOD sparks a new spirit combining our DNA and growing it into a new dual bodied person. when we die we give up that Ghost and it returns to the place He has made for it. GOD knows every thing that happens because every thing is in a way a part of HIM separate yet connected in some manner.November 3, 2006 at 7:40 pm#31631TJStarfireParticipantYes and if Jesus was correct, and GOD is a spirit.
Then being born again would suggest being born into that form, to my way of thinking anyway.November 3, 2006 at 7:04 pm#31628TJStarfireParticipantWell if you believe that the angels cast to earth and bound here are another form of being without physical bodies. What is keeping you from believing in the other Spirits being of the same form?
Or in the the belief I expressed as to having one of those forms of bodies attached to our physical bodies?
