    most all

Mt 11:25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
Mt 11:26 Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure

It's funny cuz as deep as I dived to logically understand God…

When I finally understood the capacity of YHVH and his son Jesus Christ and their identities, I used all the logic I could muster in my brain to make it work…

A lot of philosophy went into it, plus my basic understanding of life, to kinda mesh and understand God.

    ———

When I finally figured it out, and understood who God and Jesus were…. I found that I did a complete 360…

and my understanding brought be back to what I originally first heard of the gospel.

    ———-

    YHVH is God alone.
Jesus Christ is The Son of God.

    period.

    ———-

The only advantage my logic has given me thourgh my 2 year struggle…. is now if I am challenged by a non-believer striving to believe… I can now accurately answer them.

before if someone told me, Jesus is or isn't God in flesh… I used to answer yes and a point answer no….

Now I can simply say, he's neither…he's The Son of God.

That means he is God in flesh, and at the same time, not…

meaning, he's what God would be if God could be a man.

    ————————

So yes, this verse you provided for me… hit home….and now that I'm here, I no longer desire to participate on these boards… I rather share the gospel with the lost sheep of the world.

    Hi Terraricca,

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That
man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Mathew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of “The Mouth of God” (YHVH).

Aren't the words that come from God's mouth… The Word of God?

because what he speaks is what he reveals?

If Jesus Christ is The Word of God manifested in flesh, then men shall only live by the spirit of christ…

It's kind of like God saying… if I could be a part of creation, who and what kind of being would I be….

Then boom, The Word of God manifested.

Then God said, if I could become human, who would I be…

    boom, Jesus Christ.

    ———

None of these manifestations are God himself… just representations.

I'm a more refined RokkaMan now,

but the point of what i've been trying to say is that YHVH directs everything.
    ———

The topic of this post is that The God of deuteronomy is Jesus.

    ———

My refined response is that there is only 1 God, source of all things, and that is YHVH the unknowable.

The Word of God is YHVH communicating his unknowable attributes unto creation in a knowable fashion.

The Word was latered manifested in man and beheld as Jesus Christ The Son.

This doesn't make Jesus God, but makes him like God in everyway.

YHVH God gave him all things.

So if you read deuteronomy and think that it was Jesus/The Word of God… sure it may be right.

but remember, Jesus wasn't Jesus until he was a man.

So you can only call pre-existent Jesus, The Word of God.

and The Word of God isn't God himself, it is God reflecting himself within the constraints of creation.

So it isn't God The Unknowable himself… it is God revealing himself and making himself known.

It's a representation of God within the constraints of creation.

    ———

So The God of Deutoronomy can more accuractely be called, The Word of God… but understand The Word of God is the representation/reflection of YHVH himself.

    So yes it is God…represented.

No one, not even angels can be in the presence of The Real YHVH.

YHVH can only express himself, he cannot reveal his true self to anyone…it's like punching a hole thru your computer, so your computer can feel the real you.

    We'd die.

As christians, we are to judge but not condemn…
God ultimately judges and condemns, but if you see your brother doing wrong…

you'd be wrong not to point out his folly.

You don't judge on your own accord, you judge based on scripture and God's word.

That is the christian thing to do.

So instead of loving sin like u would on earth.

God takes love away from you, and leaves u with what sin produces…

    Hate.

So in hell all you can do is Hate sin, and regret sin, and pain over sin, and despair over sin.

    Hi RokkaMan,

What do you do if your children don't turn out the way you want? Would you discard them?
No; you would discipline them right from the get go, to make sure they don't turn out wrong.

Prob.13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Prob.3:11-12 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
For whom the LORD(YHVH) loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

I agree, but what happens when that fails? and what happens when you continually discipline them and show them the right way, but they choose instead to continue to drink, do drugs, have sex….

There comes a point where that person, according to their own will…hit the point of no return.

When that happens all you can do is let them go, to indulge in their sins/behavior.

    ————–

God does the same thing, he gives us chances and disciplines us, but when we hit the point of no return…and choose sin over him, what can he do?

He gave us independant will, he won't force anyone to come to him… and when your life is over, you will die in the sin you so much loved.

and hell is where you get to spend the rest of your life living in the sin you loved in the world.

the only problem is God takes away all his goodness and presence from you.

    ——————-

So on earth while you shared God's positive emotions of happiness, love, enjoyment, pleasure, satisfaction… and u attributed that to sin instead of him….

In hell you only get to experience the product of sin and evil, which are emotions of, regret, hate torment, pain… ect.

    ——————

In hell, God leaves u completely, and when he does that, he takes all his goodness with him…so all u can experience in hell, are the negative evil things. No good found anywhere.

Universal Salvation is no where in the bible.

if it were a true concept then all the gospel would be null and void.

God wills and desires everyone to be saved, but he created mankind with independant free will.

We are the only creatures created to not only have the ability of FREE WILL, but the authority to exercise it.

because of this, we are in danger of the pits of hell.

Angels have the ability to exercise free will, but no authority… there is no salvation for repented angels.

but human beings however, can sin and be forgiven.

(maybe due to the fact that they see and engage God on a daily basis, and are witness to his true glory).

    ————

This is also the reason why we are cherished and prized over all of creation, because if we make it to heaven…we have accomplished the greatest feat anything in creation could possibly accomplish… and thats to rely, trust, depend, and love god according to your own free will.

So no, there is no universal salvation… God wills it, but he created us to go against his will and be saved from it through repentance and trust in him and his promise.
