    Hi,
    Zech 14
    Zechariah 14
1Behold, a day is coming for the LORD when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you.
2For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
3Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle.
4In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.
5You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!
6In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle.
7For it will be a unique day which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.
8And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.
9And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name the only one.
10All the land will be changed into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but Jerusalem will rise and remain on its site from Benjamin's Gate as far as the place of the First Gate to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's wine presses.
11People will live in it, and there will no longer be a curse, for Jerusalem will dwell in security.
12Now this will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth.
13It will come about in that day that a great panic from the LORD will fall on them; and they will seize one another's hand, and the hand of one will be lifted against the hand of another.
14Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance.
15So also like this plague will be the plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, the donkey and all the cattle that will be in those camps.
16Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
17And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain on them.
18If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
19This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
20In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, “HOLY TO THE LORD ” And the cooking pots in the LORD'S house will be like the bowls before the altar.
21Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the LORD of hosts; and all who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in them And there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts in that day.

God has been on earth before. He was in Christ.
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.[2Cor5.19]

John affirmed this fact in Jn1
“9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”

The people did not belong to Jesus but to God.
Christ was full of light and life and that light and life was God.

Jesus told his disciples that when they saw him they saw the Father, and Thomas was there and learned the lesson well so when he said

    “My Lord and my God”

    he was affirming this fact.

He recognised the God of Israel in the vessel of the Lord Jesus.

The Son is eternally in unity with His Father.
God will never leave him or forsake him.

    Heb 13
    “Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Thus too when in Ps 2 in the rebellion at the end of the Millenium the revolt is against God and his anointed.

    Ps2
1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

So when Zech 4 speaks of God setting foot on earth such is the case. God is in Christ, as Ruler and King of kings in the seat of David, in Jerusalem.

    Hi Nick:

God is also in us and in the two witnesses. Perhaps Zech. 14:4 is referring to them.

    Because verse 5 states: “…

    Hi 94,
    Rev 19
11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

    Hi Nick:

These scriptures pertain to the judgment that God will render to those who have received the mark of the beast.

Zechariah 14 describes a series of events that will take place prior to the final judgment.

    #84566

Zechariah is the last punishment for the Jewish people before Christ will return. This period is just around the corner. When the Jewish people returned to Jerusalem in 1948 God gave them 1 Generation before He would come again. Since a generation is 70 years, that will put it to 2018. Will it happen, time will tell. In the meantime all hell will brake out here in America. Earthquakes, Floods etc. Scientist have foretold this now for some time. It will happen one day! Til then let us pray and repent of our Sin and stay close to Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.

    Peace and Love Mrs.

    Hi 94,
    Rev 14
1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

I do not see Jesus punishing those with the Mark but that while he is with his brothers the terrible tribulation rages on earth destroying those self marked for death but preserving those who are faithful.

Sorry NH, I don't buy this. God was also in Paul, John and Peter and numerous others and yet they are never called God in the Bible. Scripture doesn't assign divine names to people on account of God indwelling them.

Not true. Zechariah 14 describes YHWH doing battle against the “nations” (refer to verse 3) and it is Christ Who will do this when He returns.

    Hi Is 1.18,

Does what you say exclude it from being true?

We are the light of the world.

    Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

    Philippians 2:15
    That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

But we are not the source of that light.

    Hi Nick:

So you are saying that God will not punish those who have received the Mark of the Beast but only that they will go through the great tribulation, and that some will survive this great tribulation? Show me why you believe this by the scriptures.

I don't see it this way. What about the 7 last plagues? What is that all about?

And what about the following scriptures:

    Quote
Rev 8:1 ¶ And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

Rev 8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

    Quote
Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

The 7 trumpets are judgments coming from God mingled with mercy, but there are those who after God has done every thing possible to get them to repent will not do so. They will receive the mark of the beast. Once someone receives this mark, there is no more forgiveness.

    Hi (4,
No I am not saying that.
I am saying that the great tribulation IS the wrath of God.
    Revelation 11:18
The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great— and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
And later there is the second death.

That doesn't really address the issue. It's still true that a person does not earn the right to be called by the divine name because the Spirit of God indwells them. I think you know this too.

    Nick.

Let me show you something that you have read before, but never concentrated on .

John 6:26.Verily I say unto you. Ye seek me not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

( they followed Jesus for their belly: not to see his power, and hear his speach). This is happening today also; they go to church to GET MATERIAL BLESSINGS.God will open the windows of heaven kind of preaching.

Verse.27. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, –WHICH THE SON OF MAN SHALL GIVE UNTO YOU:
—-FOR HIM HATH GOD THE FATHER –SEALED–.

Here is that word sealed mentioned: And we know that there are only 144000 sealed, no more no less.
These are they that follow the lamb wheresoever he goeth, not for the belly.

They are virgins spiritually; never has been contaminated with bad religions, never bowed down or kissed a false god image, like mary,or budha,or saints.(sample 1kings19:18.).

Here is another one to ponder on.
Rev.11:1.2.—measure –THE TEMPLE OF GOD AND THE ALTAR,—AND THEM THAT WORSHIP THEREIN.

    2. BUT THE COURT WHICH IS WITHOUT THE TEMPLE LEAVE OUT.And measure it not; for it is –GIVEN UNTO THE GENTILES:
and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

The temple is where the worshipping is done; and the altar is where the sacrifices are done; those only to be measured, and leave the rest to the gentiles.

Can you put those scriptures together, and see the picture?

    wakeup.

    Hi WU,
    We are the new temple.[Eph2]

The wrath of God is not our hope and the sealed ones found in the new temple are rescued before the WOES.

Then the holy city shall be trampled for the last 3.5 years as God expresses his wrath against the rebels.
