Absolutely Nick,
GOD is the source of light and everything else good.May 8, 2009 at 5:59 am#130337bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Lightenup @ May 08 2009,17:27) Quote (Nick Hassan @ May 08 2009,01:04) Hi LU,
God is light.
Hi Nick,
So true…GOD is LIGHT, the Son is Light, and we are lights.
GOD has LIGHT within Himself, the Son has Light within Himself, we have Light within ourselves (and sometimes that light is darkness).
True Light comes from TRUE LIGHT.
Bless you,
Kathi
024.035God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light. God guideth unto His light whom He will. And God speaketh to mankind in allegories, for God is Knower of all

How is it that you say that the Glorious Quran has no divine origin. Gabriel was the one who taught it to Muhammad just as Gabriel spoke to Mary about Christ.May 11, 2009 at 11:25 pm#130692NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
No doubt you have evidence of prophecies about this man you call a prophet in the old and new Testament?Certainly Gabriel spoke with Mary but I have less confidence than you that he spoke with others later.
What do you think about what angels are said to have given to the Mormon leader?

I have never heard of that angel and they say that the angel was a resurrected man. The stories in the book of Mormon do not seem to correspond to the scriptures. However, the Quran reveals a stunning inner knowledge of all the scriptures and reveals things that would not be understood unless otherwise read.May 12, 2009 at 2:48 am#130709NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
So what relationship does your book have with the writings about the Lord of all,Christ Jesus?
Do they quote the prophets as Jesus did?
Do they quote Jesus? Are Jesus and your leader as one?

Surely you know that there is no God but One and He is My God and Your God and his books belong to us both, would you not say this to someone who is Jewish? The Quran is the book that makes things clear it is literally the reminder. For example:
In the name of God Almighty, the Beneficent, the Merciful (1)
Praise be to God Almighty, Lord of the Worlds, (2) The Beneficent, the Merciful. (3) Owner of the Day of Judgment, (4) Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. (5) Show us the straight path, (6) The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. (7)
What do you disagree with there?
The Heights
(7) The weighing on that day is the true (weighing). As for those whose scale is heavy, they are the successful. (8) And as for those whose scale is light: those are they who lose their souls because they disbelived Our revelations. (9) And We have given you (mankind) power in the earth, and appointed for you therein livelihood. Little give ye thanks! (10) And We created you, then fashioned you, then told the angels: Fall ye prostrate before Adam! And they fell prostrate, all save Iblis, who was not of those who make prostration. (11) He said: What hindered thee that thou didst not fall prostrate when I bade thee? (Iblis) said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire while him Thou didst create of mud. (12) He said: Then go down hence! It is not for thee to show pride here, so go forth! Lo! thou art of those degraded. (13) He said: Reprieve me till the day when they are raised (from the dead). (14) He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved. (15) He said: Now, because Thou hast sent me astray, verily I shall lurk in ambush for them on Thy Right Path. (16) Then I shall come upon them from before them and from behind them and from their right hands and from their left hands, and Thou wilt not find most of them beholden (unto Thee). (17) He said: Go forth from hence, degraded, banished. As for such of them as follow thee, surely I will fill hell with all of you.

I could take lots of books from the shelf and be impressed with the wisdom found there but Lord Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.May 12, 2009 at 4:19 am#130733bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 12 2009,15:03) Hi BD,

Yes Jesus is,I do not have to dispute any of what your saying to say that you can know the Father moreso by studying more of the Word of God.
The old testament is mainly Historical and the New Testament is very exploratory with most of it written from inference by Paul but the Quran is written to know the very Word of God with clarity.
It is a book about The Father and His creation whereas the New Testament is the door if you go through that door you will learn from the Father directly.
But meat is not for everyone milk is fine.

Nick,Do you submit to God Almighty? Is Jesus your God now?
May 12, 2009 at 4:32 am#130739NickHassanParticipantHi bd,
Are you yet part of the vine that the Father tends?
Is Jesus the head of the body you submit to?
Are there greater leaders yet?It is finished.

Jesus said “his” mission was finishedJohn 17:4-6 (King James Version)
4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
Notice Jesus says that his work is done before the crosss and do you think that no one else needed to come to Glorify the name of God and if not tell me who was preaching the God of Abraham, Isaac, Moses and Jesus to the Idol worshipping Arabs?
Muhammad eliminated polytheism from those lands and you don't give God the glory for sending someone to them?
You keep talking about Jesus almost in the same way as a trinitarian either you have sbmitted to Jesus and have come to the Father or you haven't remember praise Jesus to the Glory of The Father for that is the entire reason Jesus was sent which is to Glorify God to whose is The Kingdom, The Power and The Glory forever.
So the Prophets and Moses come spreading Light
and The Messiah Comes spreading light
and Muhammad comes spreading light
and even you and I must let our light shine
that there will be Light upon LightBut do you condemn a man for doing the work of the Lord God and destroying Idols and False Gods so that his people might know the True God?

Many fine people do lovely things .
It is hoped in God's mercy they will find salvation. But the way is Jesus.

All Muslims believe that Jesus is the way and what's more they realize that God did not send all the other Prophets and messengers for nothing if you don't accept even the least of there you cannot accept Jesus Christ. - AuthorPosts
