Hi wakeup.  I do not believe the kingdom of God is here, and I'm Amillennial (I think).  And as for the verses you have put, I was actually reading them before.

    I don't know.

All I know, is that the Day of teh Lord will come, and i know that will be final, and I am aware of some thing's that are happening.

I don't know anything of what is to be.

    And you wakeup?

    Hi Wake-up,

I assume that you want me to answer?
But you need to ask “SPECIFIC” questions.
Like for instance, please explain verse #!*#.
And how does that compare to verses # and *.

Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
    2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.
16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Isaiah 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
    2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
    3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
    4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

    God bless

    Hi Ed J.

The Day of the Lord is the return of Jesus, in Body.  So, I think you are confused with the Day of the lord and the return of Jesus.  What came on the Day of Pentecost was the Holy Spirit.  There is a big difference IMO.

When no evil is left standing, wen all has been cleansed with fire, that is the Day of the Lord.  That is when the kingdom of God will be here.

    Hi Toby,

If you deny Pentecost,  “HOW”  and  “when”  do you believe John 14:23 will be fulfilled.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words:
and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Hi Ed J.  You are talking about two different things here.  The Day of the Lord is the end of all (things).  The Day of Pentecost was when the Holy Spirit was sent.  Just like today, now, the Holy Spirit is sent to individuals.  So when the Individual prays, or when they learn, it is through the Spirit.  The Spirit is sent from God the Father, and Jesus is a part of that because Jesus is our teacher, though in Spirit, though in Heaven, some thing's we cannot understand.

    We see dimly.

So, you say the Day of the Lord has come, the Kingdom of God is here,

You say this occured on the Day of Pentecost.

    Not so.

The Day of the Lord is another thing, it is still to come.

    Hi Wake-up,

You are leaving out a VERY important part of that verse…
John 16:16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again,
a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

Isaiah 33:17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty:
they shall behold the (FUTURE) land that is very far off.

John 16:17-25 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while,
and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves
of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice:
and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child,
she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall
no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.

Hi Wake-up, thank you for being specific!

    1) Because of it's application, the Hebrew word translated as
        'new'  should be more accurately translated as  “renewed”;
like  “love less”  is more accurate then  'hate'  in it's application in Luke 14:26.

    2) The application here is physical, but there is a spiritual application as well. (see Isaiah 60:14)

    3) This is where the spiritual meets the physical. (compare to Ezekiel 28:16)

The day of pantecost,is simply Jesus promise to the apostles in John 16:7. Never the less I tell you the truth; IT IS EXPEDIENTFOR YOU THAT I GO AWAY; FOR IF I NOT GO AWAY,THE COMFORTER WILL NOT COME TO YOU (APOSTLES), BUT IF I DEPART,I WILL SEND HIM TO YOU.(to the apostles.)

Jesus went to the father, then he send the holy spirit as promised, that is the day of PANTECOST: NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SECOND COMING. Dont let anybody confuse you bro, Dont let the blind lead you anywhere.

    peace,

    wakeup.

    God bless

    Hi Wake,

Excellent! But do you not also see the spiritual application occurring on Pentecost day?
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words:
and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

    John 14:23 was fulfilled “Spiritually” on Pentecost;
if you do not believe this, then at least give us your reasoning
of  “how”  and  “when”  John 14:23 will be fulfilled; if not starting at Pentecost?

    God bless
