The question is a natural sequel to the interpretation that the verse in Rev 20 encompasses ALL in the first resurrection.

Many are beheaded for the word of God in the past also,
they are under the altar of God.rev.6

Nick, of course not. For not all christians are of “the last generation.”, but from the days of Christ to now also.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

This vision here given to John is concerning the “last generation” christians, ….they are specifically mentioned. They are included and join the saints who died before them.
