receiving,transmitting,the holy spirit ,
from men or God?
March 11, 2011 at 3:51 pm#238845terrariccaParticipantall
born again ,believers say that they receive the holy spirit after there baptism ,I have ask many how do they know and what is it ,?none could answer me.
strange most of all the apostles knew what it was, wen they received it.
so what is the holy spirit ? that we can possess it
so are we saying that we got the holy spirit because it is a good thing to say
what make us so sure that we have it ? or do we really have it ??
does good knowledge in scriptures is a prove of having the holy spirit ? NO pharisees had a good knowledge,
maybe we should look at Paul or Steven for a example ?but above all at Christ.

trinitarian says the holy spirit is a person;well i never see a person being so many things and divided in so many pieces like at the penthecostle,120 received it .
or how can a person being influence to talk in different languages ?? by that holy spirit if the holy spirit would have been a person, and not a power??
it says many times ;Ac 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
Ac 1:16 and said, “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus—
Ac 2:4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.Ac 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people!
Ac 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
Ac 6:5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
Ac 8:15 When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
Ac 8:16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
Ac 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.Ac 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Ro 9:1 I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it in the Holy Spirit—
Ro 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, those scriptures are talking about the holy spirit ,but how many understand the language of the holy spirit

Jn 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
Jn 3:6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
Jn 3:7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born againthis scripture says to be born again of water so to be repentant of our way of live in the flesh and so not accomplishing the will of God,being born of the spirit so means;to worship God in spirit
would this mean that we have to be dipped in water twice NOrepentance is in the hearth and so is worship in the spirit but with all our strength and love.

Are you being freed from sin? If the answer is no then you do not have the Holy Spirit as councilor or are not taking advantage of its presence. Jesus stated he would set those who obeyed all his teachings truly free from sin and he does not lie.
I tend to think the Holy Spirit possesses those who have it but too many see the word ‘posses” in negative lights. One who has the Holy Spirit and subjects their will to God’s will, will come to love as God loves.
The prophets of old were carried along by the Holy Spirit in its role of distributing talents when the spoke the word of God.
There is only one true doctrine of Jesus and it is only through adhering to that doctrine that one can receive the Holy Spirit in its role as councilor. The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus to show he is approved of God. If he was the Spirit then why would he descend on himself?

Quote born again ,believers say that they receive the holy spirit after there baptism ,I have ask many how do they know and what is it ,?none could answer me. When one is born again, God becomes the Father of our spirit. We are a new creation in Christ Jesus. We know that we have received the Holy Spirit because we are at peace with God and with ourselves. Our guilt is gone because our sins have been forgiven and washed away by the blood of the Lord. And we know, because we have a changed life. We have genuine love for God and for our fellow man. Some speak in tongues when they receive the Holy Ghost.
But this is what the scriptures state:
Quote Romans 8:8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Quote 1 John 3:9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Quote 1 John 2:3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Quote John 4:20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Quote 1 John 5:9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

By posses I mean the Holy Spirit controls ones actions when a person willingly subjects their own will to that of God. In doing so God loves through that individual and so, when fully mature, they love as God loves.
Scriptures that tell us that are:
John 17
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Ephesians 2:22
And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
1 John 3:24
The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
Romans 5
5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
When one is totally free from servitude to sin one does not sin because they always display the fruit Holy Spirit. This is what Paul writes to those in Galatia.
Galatians 5
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
…
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. So it follows that as you mature in Christ you approach the goal of living by the Spirit.
To receive the spirit as councilor you must obey the teaching of Jesus about receiving it.
Jesus taught that by their fruits you will know false prophets and the same is true of any of his students. In addition he taught that those that display the talents of the Holy Spirit may still not know him.Matthew 7
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

I understand God calls his people to do onto others as they would have done on to themselves. I also understand they we are to serve others before ourselves.
These commands are not In agreement with the nature of man which is of this world.
They are in agreement with the devine nature that is given by the Holy Spirit, in its role as councilor. Believers receive this aspect of the Spirit from God and live according to iit when they obey all of Jesus’ teaching including to be immersed in water.
