what your scriptures really says is that their is one shepherd ,that oversees all  ,but not all are in heaven ,or not all are on earth ,some have been called to serve with Christ and follow him were ever he goes ,being on earth this can not be done ,but we can serve him and his father within our capacity here on earth ,and yet be part of the body of submitted  believers ,and also in Cor 12;13 Paul says ; For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit;;; meaning that it is through his dead (body) that we have received the call of the gospel and so understand that it is by his sacrifice of that body that we are saved as well, and that our sins have been canceled ,Paul also mention that we as believers are made to drink from one spirit ,meaning one teaching ,their is no other .

    Hi Pierre:

Do the scriptures in Ephesians 5 that I posted indicate that the church is the bride of Christ?

And is the body of Christ the church?

    Quote
1Cr 12:12 ¶ For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.

1Cr 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1Cr 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

1Cr 12:20 But now [are they] many members, yet but one body.

1Cr 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

1Cr 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

    Quote
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

    Hi Wakeup,

So far all you offer is: where we differ (in opinion) you proclaim me wrong; you sound like the Baptists.
They believe: (them talking) since I happen to be right, that makes you wrong. You are like that.

    Amen Marty,

A person cannot be any plainer then what you have just posted.

The Body of Christ is the BRIDE.

Rev.21:24 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Matt.6:22 The Lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

    Peace brothers.

Lets just say that Christs company is called CHURCH.
He is the CEO and his board members are the saints.
the workers are also share holders.

This company is bringing in members and teaching them to be shareholders of this company.

Now the CEO is not the company but he owns the company.
He is the head of this company and the the workers are the members of the company.

His company represents his woman, the church. Not the members of the church, but the church itself.

Christ Church is his tent;we are seeking refuge from the rain in this tent. It stops us from getting wet.

    Hi Wakeup,

Rom.12:4-5 For just as WE have many members in One body and all the members do not have the same function, so we who are many, are One Body in Christ, are individually members of another.

1Cor.10:16-17 Is not the cup of the blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.

    Jesus Christ died.

Is.65:17-18 For behold, I CREATE new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I CREATE; for behold, I CREATE Jerusalem for rejoicing and her PEOPLE for gladness.

    Peace brothers.

according to those scriptures the body of Christ are those that have an heavenly call because that is what Paul ad and most of those who were listening to him and sins scriptures in Rev;14 says that their are only 144k redeemed from the earth ,this limits all to that number,
so the Body also called bride and first fruits are so the 144k ,and all others are called the according to Paul ,1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

I do understand that you may take a different view like you did already but then you will have to change scriptures some how ,

just like some believe that they are equal to the apostles ,with whom Christ at the last supper ;Lk 22:29 And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me,
Lk 22:30 so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

those scriptures are showing that Christ made a covenant with his apostles, similar to what his father made with him

but so many have been blinded by religion interpretation and eager in position taking what is not theirs ,

what your scriptures really says is that their is one shepherd ,that oversees all  ,but not all are in heaven ,or not all are on earth ,some have been called to serve with Christ and follow him were ever he goes ,being on earth this can not be done ,but we can serve him and his father within our capacity here on earth ,and yet be part of the body of submitted  believers ,and also in Cor 12;13 Paul says ; For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit;;; meaning that it is through his dead (body) that we have received the call of the gospel and so understand that it is by his sacrifice of that body that we are saved as well, and that our sins have been canceled ,Paul also mention that we as believers are made to drink from one spirit ,meaning one teaching ,their is no other .

    Hi Pierre:

Do the scriptures in Ephesians 5 that I posted indicate that the church is the bride of Christ?

And is the body of Christ the church?

    Abe.

It stops us from getting wet.

    wakeup.

    Peace brothers……..

    Abe.

Thats exactly what I was saying; did you read
    it carefully and analyse it?

The workers have each their own function to perform.
    They are also share holders.
The Lord is the head and owner;the saints are the executive staff. And the rest employees, each have a share in the company.

    Hi Wakeup:

And so, what are you trying to prove by your analysis?

The question was: “who is the bride of Christ”? And the scriptures have stated that the church is the bride of Christ. He(Jesus) is the head of the body and we who are born again Christians are members of his body.

    Love in Christ,
    Marty

I already have shown you that the scriptures do not state that the 144,000 are the only ones redeemed from the earth. It states that they were the only ones redeemed from the earth that could learn the “New Song”.
