Matthew 18:20 For where TWO or THREE are gathered
together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.I think it is about the Spirit witnessing to what is given to each individual=prophetic words, words of wisdom etc
Hi Nick,You mean to establish “Truth”, correct?
God bless
Ed J
Hi EDE,
No the Spirit is of power as well as truth.The kingdom of God is of power.
By the Spirit is healing and wisdom and tongues and setting men free.
All that Jesus did he gave for his brothers to do and he said they would do even greater things
Hi Nick,Zechariah 4:6 This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the “LORD of Hosts”.God bless

Indeed not by the power nor the might of puny men but by the Power of the Spirit of God.April 14, 2012 at 8:29 am#292193NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Me have always imagined they had POWER over the circumstance of life but it is not according to the number of horses that battles are won.
From the time of the crusades, and before,men have tried to help God but earned shame instead.
Even now powerful preachers shout and rant and fill their pockets.God's power shows up best in weak people as David understood facing Golaith.
Unless the Lord builds the house…Not by might nor by power but by the Spirit.
April 14, 2012 at 9:11 am#292194NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
All of creation is by the mighty power of the Spirit of God.
Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power and demonstated the heart and abilities of his God.
To think that God would not work in power is very strange.April 14, 2012 at 1:06 pm#292199jamminParticipantout of the topic again.

Ezek 28:13-17 (1)Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering,
the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald,
and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee
in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set
thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst
of the stones of fire. 15 (1)Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.16 By the multitude of thy merchandise (see Rev.18:10-12) they have filled the midst of thee with violence,
and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God [Isa 14:19-20 (Link)]:
and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 (2)Thine heart was lifted
up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of (1)thy brightness: (3)I will cast thee to the ground,
I will lay thee before kings, (4)that they may behold thee.Isaiah 14:12-16 How art thou fallen from heaven, (1)O Lucifer, son of the morning!
how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast
said in thine heart, (2)I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the
stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.15 (3)Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

You will need scriptural witnesses to establish a truthApril 14, 2012 at 10:37 pm#292373Ed JParticipantHi Nick, Like these?
Isa.14:19-20 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch,
and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword,
that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
20: Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed
thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.These three points of focus “DO” establish the matter:
1. cast out of thy grave
2. like an abominable branch
3. thrust through with a swordAll the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in [Jesus] bodily. (Col.2:9)
Similarly, we are also a part of the body of Christ. (1Cor. 12:27)So we may then conclude that all of us, plus the fullness of the Godhead,
are all part of the whole body of Christ. Did not GOD also create {Lucifer}
and how is Lucifer connected to the body of Christ? Only in death was Lucifer
connected to the body of Christ. The key is found in Isaiah 14:19: thou art cast
out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain,
thrust through with a sword. Jesus is the only person (so far) whose body was cast out
of the grave. His body was also thrust through with a spear. Jesus is furthermore called
the branch in Zechariah 3:8. But the significant difference here is these things happened
to Jesus’ body after He was (a corpse)dead; “the body of sin”.“At the mouth of three witnesses,
shall the matter be established.” (Deut 19:15)God bless

ezekiel 28 refers to the king of tyre and not to satan!read well the context!
11 The word of the LORD came to me: 12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“‘You were the seal of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,
the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
carnelian, chrysolite and emerald,
topaz, onyx and jasper,
lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.
Your settings and mountings[c] were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watchingyour doctrine is from men. study hard boy LOL

read the context boy!
12 King of Babylon, bright morning star, you have fallen from heaven! In the past you conquered nations, but now you have been thrown to the ground.13 You were determined to climb up to heaven and to place your throne above the highest stars. You thought you would sit like a king on that mountain in the north where the gods assemble.14 You said you would climb to the tops of the clouds and be like the Almighty.15 But instead, you have been brought down to the deepest part of the world of the dead.
16 The dead will stare and gape at you. They will ask,
Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble?17 Is this the man who destroyed cities and turned the world into a desert? Is this the man who never freed his prisoners or let them go home?April 15, 2012 at 3:39 am#292439NickHassanParticipantHi ED,

Hi ED,
Certainly Daniel and in Ezekiel 1-4 certain angels are likened to men or even called men.But that does not mean we can initiate a theory that angels can become men and promulgate it alongside truth.

Hi Nick, here's another witness: Simeon.
“In the mouth of TWO or THREE witnesses
every word may be established” (Matt 18:16)Luke 2:34-35 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold,
this child is set for the fall (death) and rising again (resurrection) of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
(Yea, a sword (Point #3 see quote), shall pierce through thy own soul also) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.Your brother

The word about the sword related to Mary and her grief.
No direct relationship to what you are trying to support.
I love scripture but this is not a witness for your idea.Besides your teaching is that angels can BECOME Men.
Also REBELLIOUS angels which does not relate to Gabriel
