This has been an eye sore to me for some time, and I would like to know how all of you feel about that.
I can prove to you that Christ was not born on December 25, but rather around this time of the Year. I will do so later on another post.
What is your understanding about this?

Getting the right year would be a good start, never mind the month or the day. Assuming you credit the part of the story about the star the wise men followed at least – and relate the star to an astronomical event.October 5, 2009 at 11:21 pm#165008georgParticipantQuote (Douglas @ Oct. 06 2009,11:09) Quote (georg @ Oct. 06 2009,10:54) This has been an eye sore to me for some time, and I would like to know how all of you feel about that.

Nothing to do with the star. I have to get it all together soon.
IreneOctober 6, 2009 at 12:56 am#165009georgParticipantFirst of all I am going to put all of God's month's down for you. God's Calendar starts in the Spring and not in the deep of Winter Jan.
Nisan(Abib)=March-April, Lyyar(Ziv) April-May, Sivan=May-June, Tammuz=June-July Ab =July -August, Elul= August -September, Tishri(Ethanium)= September-October, Marchesvan=October-November,
Chisley=November-December, Tebeth=December-January. Shebat= January-February, Adar= February-March.Now we have to go to
Luke 1 read all. Elizabeth was six months pregnant when the Angel Gabriel went to Maria and She conceived. Zachariah who was Elizabeth's Husband was serving in the Temple and He was of the order of Abijah it was the eight group. The first group started in the first two weeks of Nisan=March-April. Since Zachariah was of the 8 group it was in the first two weeks of July. That is when Elizabeth conceived.
Six months later Maria conceived. It was at the end of December when Maria conceived. Nine Months from then brings us to the end of September and at the latest of early October. And that is not even close to December 25.The first Month of God's Calendar Nisan makes up the last two weeks of March and the first two weeks of April of our Calendar. I like to add, that it was Constantine that changed so many things and also the Calendar. Just like all of Gods Holidays. Look around how so much even here in America has changed. No more Prayers in School etc. God is not in our Government no more.
Peace and Love Irene
Look here this is explained rather how with Gods Calendar you can count out when Jesus was born. You don't have to guess. Also no He was not born on December 25.

I have not read all of the link, however, we can easy figure out what Month, which I did so in my first post. But with any Pragnacy I don't see how, that the day is figured out. I will study it later. Thank you though for your input. Not to many have done this, and keep Christmas. We have had no Tree or any kind of Decoeration since 1984. Our Family did not like it, but if we don't love Christ more then Mother, Father or Sister of Brother we are not worthy of Christ. Our Son's were already married at that time, but our Daughter was 1e3 years old and it did hurt Her some.

Hello again! I dd read most of the P.M. you send me. However, even so Elizabeths Day was predicted, does not say that Maria exactly, to the day, when She delivered Jesus. To show everybody that He was NOT BORN ON DECEMBER 25 IS MORE IMPORTANT, THEN the exact day. Don't you agree on that? Being a woman the Doctors are most of the time of, on the days when our Children were born. Some woman go as far as 6 Weeks over the prediction of their Doctor. But it certainly is all interesting. Christmas time is soon coming up, and I am always glad when all is over with. I find it so ironic to pick Noah's Grandson Birthday for Christs.
Nimrod was not a nice man. I have a Question why did you not put all of that information on this site?

The earliest mention of some sort of observance on that date is in the Philoclian Calendar, representing Roman practice, of the year 336. Later, John Chrysostom favored the same date of birth. Cyril of Jerusalem (348-386) had access to the original Roman birth census, which also documented that Jesus was born on the 25th of December. The date eventually became the officially recognized date for Christmas in part because it coincided with the pagan festivals celebrating Saturnalia and the winter solstice. The church thereby offered people a Christian alternative to the pagan festivities and eventually reinterpreted many of their symbols and actions in ways acceptable to Christian faith and practice.
December 25 has become more and more acceptable as the birth date of Jesus. However, some argue that the birth occurred in some other season, such as in the fall. Followers of this theory claim that the Judean winters were too cold for shepherds to be watching their flocks by night. History proves otherwise, however, and we have historical evidence that unblemished lambs for the Temple sacrifice were in fact kept in the fields near Bethlehem during the winter months.
The truth is we simply don’t know the exact date of our Savior’s birth. In fact, we don’t even know for sure the year in which He was born. Scholars believe it was somewhere between 6 B.C. and 4 B.C. One thing is clear: if God felt it was important for us to know the exact date of the Savior’s birth, He certainly would have told us in His Word. The Gospel of Luke gives very specific details about the event, even down to what the baby was wearing – “swaddling clothes”—and where he slept—“in a manger” (Luke 2:12). These details are important because they speak of His nature and character, meek and lowly. But the exact date of His birth has no significance whatsoever, which may be why God chose not to mention it.
The fact is that He was born, that He came into the world to atone for our sins, that He was resurrected to eternal life, and that He’s alive today. This is what we should celebrate, as we are told in the Old Testament in such passages as Zechariah 2:10: “'Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,' declares the LORD.” Further, the angel that announced the birth to the shepherds brought “good news of great joy that will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10). Surely here is the cause for celebration every day, not just once a year.

However keeping His Birthday on the 25 of December, I belief is an abomination to God, since it was Nimrod who was born then. Question would you for instant like it that they would celebrate your Birthday on Hitlers Birthday?
So at least to me it is important that I do know. Do you keep Christmas then on that day? They way you wrote that Article it sounds like you believe that the first Christians and others believed it was O.K. It is not to me. Since we can prove that He was not born on that date.
IreneOctober 9, 2009 at 2:08 am#165023AnonymousInactivemy birthday may be the same as Hitlers, who knows! It amazes me how many here dont go to no bible studys, church, but have figured out the bible more than the scholars, ordained preachers who have went to school for years! Huh? Even if the 25th isnt His birthday, (and I know it is not)He knows what the celebration is for. And He knows its all about thanks, love and giving. My church even fills wrapped shoe boxes for little boys and girls who are in need, and we ship them all over the place. WE buy for a boy or a girl and pick the age, and stuff them with small things. Socks, gloves, kids Christian story books, pencils, tooth brushes, combs, shoes, what ever we think could help them out. Now what sin could there be in that?

How does an Ordained Preacher become Ordained?
Education? How does one become Educated?
Do you think your knowledge only comes through a Bible study class?
Does a Certificate make a person an Elected man of God?

Quote Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

You may be doing al of these good things at Christmas time, however it is said, that at Christmas time more people commit suicide then any other day of the year. And if you want to do good, you can do that any time. Also is those little things that count, that you do with and for people, or your Family.
Also since you know that Christ was not born on Dec. 25 and still do it, what does that make you?
The reason some of us do not go to Church is because most believe in the trinity doctrine.
Math. 15:9 In vain do they worship me, teaching the doctrine
the commandment of men.
The trinity never was or is of God, but of a man. His name is Quintus Septimus Florens Tertullian. Judging others because they do not worship in vain, is quit ridiculous.
