People have tried to answer these questions for ages.
And the questions are still there.
What we normally do most time of the day: working, eating, watching TV, talking, going out, shoping, making love, sleeping – that is what we do 24 hours per day and that is almost all about it!
In general, we have no time to just think about spiritual things at all. According to some surveys we think about things like that for as little as 15 minutes per day!
If you look around you will not find a person who would be really happy with his life.
I refuse to believe that a man has been created to just participate in ordinary life. I believe and I feel that for his beloved son God has had in his mind something much higher, than that, something filled with love and total bliss!
And what could be more blissful than co-creation together with loving Father and joyful contemplation of what have been created?
If you are used to be a creative person you should understand what I mean. The inspiration and joy that you feel while being in a creation process are not compared with anything else to the least extent.
So why don’t we participate in God’s creations rather that in our ordinary life?May 1, 2004 at 4:19 am#4059Surgeon83ParticipantI think God desires companionship more than anything else. Worship, I believe, is our way of establishing a connection to him. He desires us so much and cares for us that he sent his son who willingly died so that we could draw closer to him and be comforted by it. Many of my comments on other posts have been about the mind of God, but what God truly wants is for us to desire his heart. It is true that we get wrapped up in our daily lives. We become consumed with money, work, sex, etc. These things fade away so quickly. I remember a high school teacher who summed it up nicely, “we are not human beings yearning to be spiritual, but spiritual beings trying to be human”. And that is quite ture. We are constantly at war with the flesh and it must be crucified daily. We must come back to our father, our home. Look at all he has given us, and all he desires is for us to love him in return.

Companionship is a good word! That's what God really wants from a man. But I don't think that worship is the only way to establish connection to him. Even more, I believe that He does not want it at all. Just imagine that your son started to worship you, would you like that? I quess not! If you give your son all your love and powers what do you really want from him? I quess you would like to see him being equal to you, applying the powers to the highest extent and radiating his love at others as you does it.
I believe that what God-Father really wants is to see us Him-like loving beings, putting our powers and love into joyfull creations.October 28, 2007 at 2:49 am#69675MsEagleParticipantMic 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?October 28, 2007 at 5:04 am#69686IM4TruthParticipantHello MsEagle Welcome to the Board. Yes indeed walking in the Holy Spirit is what God wants us to do. And be born again, of course you have to do that first anyway to receive the Holy Spirit. Then there is the Greatest Commandments of all that Jesus gave us. Love God with all of our Heart and thy neighbor as thyself. One more thing that I find so important to realize that the Law is spiritual is to see what Jesus said on the Sermon on the Mount. You will also find that there are strict Sabbath Keepers on this Board. I have nothing against keeping the Sabbath and we should, but so many still do what the Scribes and Pharisees did. That I for one watch out for. Like today, in order to have everything ready for tomorrow when our Daughter comes for a visit, I had to do certain things that normally I do not do. In the past when I kept the Sabbath by the letter of the law, I would not have done what I did. So what I am saying is, it's not the day that is the most important here it is the kind of relationship We have with Jesus and our Heavenly Father.
Peace and Love Mrs.

I agree with what you have said. If we could live what Jesus taught in His Sermon on the Mount, we would have a lot less trouble in our flesh. But we need Jesus' spirit in us, and not just with us. I was a Baptist until I was 29, when Jesus baptized me with His spirit. When they realized I was different and said things they didn't agree with, they told me to leave. Serving God and His Son, Jesus, is my life. It's an everyday thing. There is no slacking off. I am trying to crucify this old man so people will see Jesus in me. More of Him and less of me is what I want. Jesus is my ALL in ALL and His grace is sufficient. Please pray for my little grand daughter, Claire. She is 17 months old and just diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She is the sweetest little thing. Have a wonderful day and God bless you richly.
