Hi KJ,
God saves.

Focus on the Source.
God as you define Him did not personally save the people Nick. It was the Messenger who delivered the prople out of Egypt. Not Moses. And not God as you define Him.It was the Messenger who was the subject of the song of Moses. So tell Moses when you see him to “focus on the source.” I am confident that he will reply to you, “Were you there”?

Your knowledge of scripture could be very useful to the kingdom if you gained the wisdom and understanding to go with it and did not use it to make others stumble.
Nick,
What does the text say? It CLEARLY says that Jesus is counted worthy of more glory than Moses:For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house. 4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
It says that Jesus is counted worthy of more glory than Moses “inasmuch as He who built the house receives more glory than the house.”
The house receives no glory at all Nick. Therefore, Moses receives no glory and Christ receives all the glory; He receives the glory of the builder which is God.

We know your legalism cannot accept such things.
But bible study is not a game of trivial legalism.June 4, 2010 at 5:06 pm#194099KangarooJackParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 05 2010,03:57) Hi KJ,

Huh?Are you going to directly address the point or not Nick? The text says that Christ is counted worthy of more glory than Moses “inasmuch as the builder of the house receives more glory than the house.”
The house receives no glory right Nick? Therefore, Moses receives no glory. Thus Moses was NOT a savior.

What bible word games are you talking about? It says that Jesus is counted worthy of more glory than Moses “inasmuch as the builder of the house receives more glory than the house.”The house receives no glory at all. Therefore, Moses receives no glory and those who claim that they give Christ glory but make Moses a savior give mere lip service.
Their hearts are far from Christ.

You need to come to terms with truth. You do not want truth. You just want the last word in everything.KJ

You have only a distant relationship with truth and your garnishings of logic and inference make your offerings just of you.
Wake up.June 4, 2010 at 7:55 pm#194137KangarooJackParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 05 2010,06:22) Hi KJ,

You have not answered the point that the house does not receive glory.“Christ is counted worthy of more glory than Moses inasmuch as the builder is worthy of more glory than the house.”
The house receives no glory. Therefore, Moses receives no glory. Christ receives the glory of the builder. The builder is God. Ergo….
It really gets in your craw that you cannot reduce Jesus to the same “savior” status with Moses.
Again, you are not interested in the truth. You just want the last word in everything. If you have no reply then just move on to another thread. Your ambition to have the last word all the time is immature.

You do not offer scripture but only your sanitised verses.
They are as such your teachings and not those of Scripture. It is good though for you to reveal your intentions are carnal warfare and to accuse.
June 4, 2010 at 10:57 pm#194162JustAskinParticipantTo All,
It seems to me that Jesus is a perfect kind of Moses.
Moses was chosen by God, begotten from among his brethren, to deliver the message of salvation of God's begotten nation.
Moses was persecuted and disbelieved by even his own.
He showed great signs and wonders from God but God hardened the hearts of his detractors so that He should show greater signs and wonders.
Moses brought the law to man, a guide by which man should live and come to know the Father, God.
Moses led the people of God through many tribulations, falling aways and recoverings to the very gates of 'the heavenly promise'.
Moses was meant to enter triumphantly into the land of milk and honey as a triumphant ruler…but sinned and fell short of God's strict requirements.
Jesus was chosen, begotten of his Father from among his brethren to fulfill and fulfilled all the things that Moses did but on a grander scalem spiritually, at least, brought refinement and unyoking of the Strangulation of the Mosaic law, suffered greater – even unto death, entered un triumph into the 'promised land' of new Covenant.
So, once again, Jesus is preeminent in all things, the only begotten of man,…'Saving his People from out of Egypt' (Even as he was escaped to safety to Egypt at his birth, was 'taken to Egypt, like Joseph…and Egypt became a byword for a sinful state) he escaped his people from that sinful state, 'from out of egypt' (read Revelation)
