Hi 94,
We die in baptism-Rom6.October 5, 2008 at 1:01 am#109719942767ParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Oct. 05 2008,12:19) Hi 94,
We die in baptism-Rom6.
We die to sin, and we also die daily as we learn to crucify the flesh and apply the Word of God to our daily lives.October 5, 2008 at 1:15 am#109720942767ParticipantHi Nick:
Quote Hbr 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Quote Hbr 11:13 ¶ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth
Quote Hbr 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
Hbr 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.October 5, 2008 at 2:11 am#109723NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
Please show us where faith in God or in Jesus is demonstrated in Mt25.
We are not saved by works but inherit the righteousness of Jesus if we are reborn into himYou confuse the way of Jesus into the Millenial Kingdom, which is the recommended sabbath rest of Heb 4, with the rescue of other sheep found by works of mercy at the final judgement after the Millenium and after the second resurrection IMO.

No Nick:This is your opinion, but it isn't scriptual. Scripture must be line upon line and precept upon precept. John 3:5 and 3:16-18 is central to gospel message.
Those works of righteousness that are shown of sheep in Matt. 25 are works done as sheep who follow the shepherd.
You just as well join CO and Gene and say that everyone will be saved that is their opinion, and I would like to see that as well, but I can't because it isn't scriptual.
October 5, 2008 at 3:09 am#109734NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
You have not revealed the scriptures as asked.
You condemn all who do not respond to the message excluding the mercy of God.God is kinder.
Mt 25
31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Please show us how these sheep knew they were saved as we should do.
Please show how works such as these are the way of salvation in Jesus.
They were saved BECAUSE OF works-is that your hope? Surely not.October 5, 2008 at 4:48 am#109750chosenoneParticipantHi Nick & 942767.
You both don't seem to realise that the 'four gospels', the teaching of Jesus, was to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”, Jesus' words (Matt.15:24). In that era, their salvation was by “works”, they were under the “Old Covenant” and the “law”. Jesus was a Jew, He fulfilled the “law”. They were obliged to keep the law and keep their covenant with God. This they failed to do.
Much confusion would be removed if you “correctly cut the word of truth” (2Tim.2:15) This means understanding which message is to the Jews and which for the “nations” (uncircumcision).
Taking any and all scripture, and quoting them as to us, when trying to make a point, isn't much use unless you understand to whom it was spoken to.And 942767, you said: …You just as well join CO and Gene and say that everyone will be saved that is their opinion, and I would like to see that as well, but I can't because it isn't scriptual.
There are many scriptures saying “all mankind will be saved”. Your eyes have been blinded.
Blessings.
October 5, 2008 at 4:55 am#109751NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom to, and taught the Jews about aspects of the Old Law.
Same gospel that was preached through his apostles to the nations.
You do not correctly cut the Word of God.October 5, 2008 at 4:56 am#109753NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
You are right that the universalist gospel is false.October 5, 2008 at 5:00 am#109755chosenoneParticipantNick.
“Same gospel to the nations”, is not biblical, no scripture says that. I have asked you many times to show scripture that says that. And, true to form, you can't produce any. You are a false teacher. Shame!October 5, 2008 at 5:06 am#109756chosenoneParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Oct. 05 2008,16:55) Hi CO,

Nick.
His (Jesus') apostles never went to the nations, in fact they were told “not” to go to the nations. Matt.10:5-6 …These twelve Jesus commissions, charging them, saying, “Into a road of the nations you may not pass forth, and into a city of the Samaritans you may not be entering.
I sometimes wonder how much of the bible you read!October 5, 2008 at 5:10 am#109758NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Of course this was when they were given an anointing and assisted Jesus in his work among the Jews.
This should not be confused with their empowerment at Pentecost and the Great Commission.
Did you muddle them up by mistake?October 5, 2008 at 5:17 am#109760NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Mt 10
1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
They were to preach the gospel of the kingdom. So did Paul
Romans 1:9
For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you,October 5, 2008 at 5:26 am#109765chosenoneParticipantNick.
The “kingdom”, for the Jews was the “Promised Land”, an earthly destination. That preached by Paul to the nations, was a celestial destination. But of course, the “gospel of Nick”, teaches the same unbiblical gospel, doesn't it?October 5, 2008 at 5:30 am#109767NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Guess what.
The meek shall inherit the earth.
The final destination of the body is on EARTH.rev21
1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
No celestial destination I am sorry

The book of Revelation is the unvieling of Jesus Christ, it is not about the end of His creation. 1Cor.15:21-28, is a description of the end: 21 For since, in fact, through a man came death, through a Man, also, comes the resurrection of the dead.
22 For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified.
23 Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; thereupon those who are Christ's in His presence;
24 thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and all authority and power.
25 For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy is being abolished: death.
27 For He subjects all under His feet. Now whenever He may be saying that all is subject, it is evident that it is outside of Him Who subjects all to Him.
28 Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all.)I have to keep pointing out to you corrected scripture.
October 5, 2008 at 5:40 am#109771NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
You keep putting great truths to the side of your plate as unpalatable. You cannot afford to keep slicing off what does not suit your doctrines.
So where is the celestial home of men found in scripture?
October 5, 2008 at 6:08 am#109775chosenoneParticipantNick.
Ph2:10 …10 that in the name of Jesus every knee should be bowing, celestial and terrestrial and subterranean,
Eph.1:3 …3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blesses us with every spiritual blessing among the celestials, in Christ,
1Cor.15:40 … There are bodies celestial as well as bodies terrestrial. But a different glory, indeed, is that of the celestial, yet a different that of the terrestrial
Eph.2:5-6 …5 (we also being dead to the offenses and the lusts), vivifies us together in Christ (in grace are you saved!)
6 and rouses us together and seats us together among the celestials, in Christ Jesus,Ep.6:12 …for it is not ours to wrestle with blood and flesh, but with the sovereignties, with the authorities, with the world-mights of this darkness, with the spiritual forces of wickedness among the celestials
October 5, 2008 at 6:10 am#109776NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
So how do these relate to MEN living in celestial places??October 5, 2008 at 6:20 am#109778chosenoneParticipantNick.
Thought I'd add a bit to this scripture so as to include context,Eph.2:4-9 … yet God, being rich in mercy, because of His vast love with which He loves us
5 (we also being dead to the offenses and the lusts), vivifies us together in Christ (in grace are you saved!)
6 and rouses us together and seats us together among the celestials, in Christ Jesus,
7 that, in the oncoming eons, He should be displaying the transcendent riches of His grace in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
8 For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God's approach present,
9 not of works, lest anyone should be boasting. As this scripture states, God will place us there. You'll have to ask God about your question : “So how do these relate to MEN living in celestial places?? “
Only He will know how He does this.
