Hi CO,
Mt 15.24
” 24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”Christ was first sent to the Jews.
God sends Peter with the same gospel to the gentiles.
Acts 10
” 9On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:10And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
17Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
18And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
19While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
20Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
21Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
22And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
23Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
25And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
26But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
27And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
28And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
29Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
30And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
31And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
32Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
33Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
34Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
37That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
39And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”

Same gospel? Notice that God told Peter that there were no more dietery laws, Acts.10:15. See also verse 28, the Jews could now keep company with people of the nations (gentiles). The law had been abolished, Jesus taught while still under the law, He obeyed and also fullfilled the law. We are now no longer under the law but under “Grace”.
You have just answered your misunderstanding of scripture.Blessings.
June 25, 2007 at 1:49 am#56408NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Same gospel.
The gospel of Christ is not the Law.
He taught about the law when questioned about it.
Mt 19
“3The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.”….
…
” 16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
Then if they wanted more he taught about the new way.
He taught about the kingdom.” 20The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

Jesus taught while under the law, He was a Jew and obeyed the law perfectly, thats how He fullfilled the law. When questioned by the Pharisies, He explained to them what the intent of the law was, not the letter of the law, as the Pharisies taught.
Jesus Himself was cicumcised, kept all the dietary laws, attended the festivals as required by law. in other words He kept all the law of Moses that was given to the Jews, He fufilled them perfectly. But now we are no longer under the law, but under “Grace”.Blessings.
June 25, 2007 at 2:12 am#56412NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Indeed.
The grace is accessed by obedience to the righteous demand of God.
The same gospel first preached to the Jews
is now for all.
12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. “
Acts 17
” 30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth ALL MEN EVERYWHERE to repent:31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. “

Grace is accessed by obedience? You don't understand what grace is, It is the unearned, unrefusable, truely blessed, gift of God. It cannot be “earned” in any way. Grace is just that, “GRACE”. Only given by God alone.Blessings.
June 25, 2007 at 6:52 am#56450NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Grace is given by God
that men will obey
and repent.June 25, 2007 at 7:04 am#56453Not3in1ParticipantTrue, Nick – grace is not given that sin may abound!
Co – but Jesus even said that he did not come to abolish the law? Sometimes I wonder if that means we are supposed to keep the law and yet grace is applied to us because we cannot keep it even though we try? I don't know….
June 28, 2007 at 2:22 am#56813NickHassanParticipantHi,
Access to the grace of God is by the response to the gospel of Jesus Christ
preached first to the Jews but now to all men
that they repent and be rebornheb 4
“2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hi CO,
The gospel of Jesus is not the OT law.
But the Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.
They are under the new law of the Spirit.June 29, 2007 at 4:42 am#56974chosenoneParticipantOut of God, Through God
and For God is ALL
by Peter Feddema.
Here is a brief presentation of seven topics and Scripture texts which explain the ultimate purpose for which God has created the universe. It is primarily from the pen of the apostle Paul that we have these absolute declarations concerning God's wonderful objective to become All in all (1Cor.15:28c).
In Col.1:25, Paul tells us that he was granted to complete the word of God. We cannot find the complete picture of God's purpose in the other parts of Scripture.
For us to properly appreciate God's beneficial aim for His creation, we must rightly divide the word of God as we are admonished to do in 2Tim 2:15: “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.
This basically means that it is required to properly distinguish between God's dealings with Israel, where it is shown that humanity in the flesh cannot please God; and His dealings with the nations, where it is shown what He will eventually accomplish, through Christ Jesus, for those on the earth and those in the heavens (cf Col.1:20).
It will be helpful, to briefly consider the following, seven, very important topics:1) God created ALL
2) God operates ALL
3) God will justify ALL
4) God will reconcile ALL
5) God will save ALL
6) God will vivify ALL.
7) God will subject ALLGod Created ALL
For many, it is difficult to accept that God created ALL, including the evil, as well as the good. Yet, such is what Scripture tells us. This makes it self-evident that God needs both, evil and good, to achieve His goal, in order to become ALL in all! The following three texts show us that ALL is created out of God.“Seeing that OUT OF HIM and THROUGH HIM and FOR HIM is all: to Him be the Glory for the eons! Amen!” (Rom.11:36) (Concordant Literal Version).
“. . . nevertheless for us there is One God, the Father, OUT OF WHOM ALL IS” (1Cor.8:6). (CLV)
“I form the light, and CREATE DARKNESS: I make peace, and CREATE EVIL: I the LORD do all these things” (Isa 45:7).
God Operates All
That God operates all is of great comfort to us, for this, in itself, is assurance that our God, Who is love, will operate all to His Glory and for our well being. Everything and everybody depends on God's operations, as the following texts show:“Moreover, from the eon I am He, and there is no rescuing from My hand. I WILL CONTRIVE, and who will reverse it?” (Isa.43:13).
“. . . in Him in Whom our lot was cast also, being designated beforehand according to the purpose of the One WHO IS OPERATING ALL in accord with the counsel of His will” (Eph.1:11).
“Seeing that out of Him and THROUGH HIM and for Him is all: to Him be the Glory for the eons! Amen!” (Rom.11:36).
God Will Justify All
A very important part of God's operation is that He will justify all. In ourselves we are sinners, but through the suffering and death of Christ on the Cross, God will grant to all, His righteousness. The following Scriptures testify to this glorious truth:“Yet now, apart from law, a righteousness of God is manifested … a righteousness of God through Jesus Christ's faith, FOR ALL, and on all who are believing, for there is no distinction” (Rom.3:21-22).
“For the love of Christ is constraining us, judging this, that, if One died for the sake of all, consequently all died” (2Cor.5:14).
” … one who dies HAS BEEN JUSTIFIED from Sin” (Rom.6:7).
“Consequently, then, as it was through one offense for all mankind for condemnation, thus also it is through one just award for all mankind FOR LIFE'S JUSTIFYING” (Rom.5:18).
God Will Reconcile All
Besides justifying all, God will reconcile all. Reconciliation brings us into a much closer relationship to God than justification alone, because it completely removes any feelings of enmity and estrangement. This powerful declaration is of great comfort and encouragement to us. The scope of reconciliation is universal as the following text clearly states:“… and through Him [Christ] TO RECONCILE ALL to Him [God] (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens” (Col.1:20).
God Will Save All
The salvation of all is a blessing that belongs inseparably with the justification and reconciliation of all. It is a vital part of the great objective which God, our Father, accomplishes through His Son, Christ Jesus.“FAITHFUL IS THE SAYING, AND WORTHY OF ALL WELCOME, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners . . .” (1Tim.1:15)
It does not say that Jesus came into the world to try to save sinners, or to give sinners a chance to be saved. No, He came to save sinners, and He will accomplish it most perfectly!
“. . . for this is ideal and welcome in the sight of our Saviour, God, WHO WILLS THAT ALL MANKIND BE SAVED AND COME INTO A REALIZATION OF THE TRUTH.” (1Tim. 2:3,4)
If God wills something, who can hinder? (cp. Isa.43:13, Eph.1:11)
“FAITHFUL IS THE SAYING AND WORTHY OF ALL WELCOME, (for for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living GOD, Who is THE SAVIOUR OF ALL MANKIND, especially of believers. These things be charging and teaching.” (1Tim.4:9-11)In verse 10 it does not say exclusively, but especially. Yes, believers do have a special salvation, but salvation is not exclusively theirs alone. God's plan and purpose includes the salvation of all mankind, for God wills all mankind to be saved (cf 1Tim2:4). Why do Christian Churches, in general, not charge and teach this, as Scripture admonishes it to be done (1 Tim. 4:11)?
“And He [Christ] is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours [believers] only, but ALSO FOR THE WHOLE WORLD.” (1 John 2:2).
“And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.” (1John 4:14)
Once more, we have the assurance that Christ Jesus is the Saviour of the world. It does not say that He is merely the potential or possible Saviour of the world. No, these Scriptural statements are positive and straightforward, FULL OF GOOD NEWS!
God Will Vivify All
To everyone, God will give life that is beyond the reach of death — life that is immortal and incorruptible, full of joy and glory! How marvelous that vivification is clearly stated in the Scriptures.“For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, IN CHRIST, SHALL ALL BE VIVIFIED” (1Cor.15:22)
“Thus it is written also, The first man, Adam, became a living soul: “the last Adam A VIVIFYING SPIRIT” (1Cor.15:45).
“The LAST ENEMY that shall be destroyed is death” (1Cor.15:26).
God Will Subject All
Wholehearted, loving subjection to God, is the proper, normal, natural, and agreeable relationship of the creature to his Creator. Any other relationship would be contrary to God's glory and our well being. The following Scriptures indicate the importance and reality of such a future relationship:“Now, WHENEVER ALL MAY BE SUBJECTED TO HIM, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all” (1Cor.15:28)
Please notice that all these absolute Scriptural declarations lead to the GRAND CLIMAX that God may be ALL in all! (1Cor.15:28c).
Now, already, unknown to most, it is profoundly true that in Him [God] we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). At the consummation of the eons, this will be one of the greatest and most wonderful truths of which we will, then, be deeply conscious, and in which we will wholeheartedly rejoice and exult, for all eternity! Not until then, does LIFE AND TRUE LIVING begin, for a
ll! This is the wonderful consequence and deep significance of God becoming ALL in all!
In the meantime, a full, Scripturally based knowledge that ALL IS FOR GOD (1Cor.8:6; Rom.11:36) is the most powerful and potent medicine ever provided for sorrowing and dying humanity. To the living God,
Who is the Saviour of all mankind;
