Yes, I can and do engage in discussions. I post things that I feel some of the more mature readers may appreciate. Your insults are just an indication of imiturity, you would do better to consider your true motives.

Jesus said many things but referenced scripture. He didn't just quote scripture verbatim. The latter is a sign of immaturity because they cannot apply it to real situations due to lack of understanding I suppose. This obviously doesn't apply to scribes, translators, and written works along those lines because such works are important tools.

That being the case, what about a man who just makes quotes in a forum and not even from scripture?

Jesus would read scripture in the public forum.

If you have a need to cut me down to make yourself feel better then so be it.

Somewhere along the line thoughts of evil came about, now the only evil that is portrayed in your bible is the devil, even so that would mean that even in heaven there are thoughts of darkness. How could that be?

Angels had the power to choose too.

And Satan sinned in Heaven resulting in being cast down.

How can that be? Again, God made the lack of himself available for them. What mechanism he chose I do not know. Perhaps it was that they could do this in their imagination first and then follow that.

With Adam and Eve, God put two trees in the garden. Perhaps Angels had an equivalent choice. Something they were told not to do and if they did it they would die/be cut off from God.

No offense there T8 but you make it sound heaven and earth are not much different.

Or…..maybe El stemming from a patheon the writers or story tellers mixed it up a bit. Maybe El is not the true. Perhaps he could be the demi urge that is spoken about. The bad god that pretends to be the good guy, not a far fetch notion to say the least.

Just have a hard time accepting that the true god would change so much. I can not grasp the concept of the spirit aging or changing much. Why the need to, it was always there and always pure.

You know was sitting outside yesterday and the thought came that people release negatives into the world and give it to something or someone else. This type of behavior is somewhat complexing to me, because something has to absorb this negativity. Would it not be more wise to have the positive absorb the negative within ones self. Don't know about you but you would think a creator would be most proud when you can do it for yourself. Then you would be using what was given and not take so much.

    Just a thought though…….

and T8 I have no idea what you are rambling on about a 'hot seat' but if for some reason you feel the need to move discussion to this area you are more then welcome to. Will there be tea? Let me know.

Cool. I will set up an invite and put the kettle on.

    Awesome! I'll bring the donuts.

Ironically, it was the religious who rejected his teaching and they also hid behind the scripture.

I've tried to generate discussion but you've been small minded and trite.

In fact you were doing badly in our initial debate/discussion, avoiding questions etc. so you abused your power and relegated me to the skeptics section

You haven't read the book that you don't agree with, and the only thing you have exposed is your own fright.

We aren't allowed on the sect divided threads where they don't even agree with each other.

@ princess, if angels chose to rebel, then obviously they are free to choose to rebel. This is not me trying to make heaven like earth, it is just a logical conclusion. Feel free to show evidence to the contrary.

    Where was that?

I am sure that I just forgot about it as I post in other discussions, or got bored reading the Urantopia book.

I don't run away from topics because I have no answers. Rather the opposite. I like the challenge and if someone has a good point, I will accept it, so that I can be a better person.

But I do get bored talking with people who offer nothing or little. That is the truth.

This term “Urantopia” is telling, I've run into this before with believers who find the Urantia Book to good to be true. It's a way of thinking related to how people could hate Jesus without a cause. It seems people need the concept of a mean, vengeful God of the OT created in mans own image.

You started the hot seat interrogation silliness then didn't respond to my questions to you.

T8. But why would they want to rebel? Seriously doesn't that bother you a bit. That you make it to angel state and still know that you may have to continue to hold onto what is supposed to be left with the flesh?

How is that logical? If anything it is illogical.
